Paul Flett has been appointed as General Manager at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka

In 2013, Paul was appointed Hotel Manager at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney, where he oversaw the Engineering, Front Office, Restaurants, Bars and Events, and Housekeeping teams. In a career spanning more than 20 years in operations and F&B, Paul had worked at Cypress Lake Resort in Hunter Valley, as well as hotel brands such as Radisson, InterContinental Hotels Group and Rydges. Paul’s promotion to General Manager will see him taking charge of the 277-room Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka. Located in central Dhaka, the hotel is situated prominently in the centre of Bangladesh’s Diplomatic Zone and commercial district, and in proximity to the city’s historical sites and shopping options.

Constantinos S. Gavriel has been appointed as General Manager at Le Meridien Dhaka

Constantinos S Gavriel has been appointed as the new general manager of Le Méridien Dhaka. The luxurious five-star hotel made the announcement through a press release issued on Thursday. Gavriel said: “I am thrilled to be joining Le Meridien Dhaka, and I am looking forward to working with the team to elevate the guest experience to the next level within this dynamic and growing market.” He was the general manager of The Renaissance Aktau Hotel in Kazakhstan before being appointed by Le Méridien Dhaka. He has also worked for the Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts in 2003. The British national started his career as a business development executive at The Kensington Hilton in London and has held various positions within Marriott since 2011. After working for 14 years in London, Gavriel’s first experience overseas began as cluster director of sales and marketing for Rosewood Hotels and Resorts in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh. Later, he worked in Abu Dhabi along with Russia and Kazakhstan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Hotel Management from The University of North London and has an experience of 24 years in the related field.

E.J. MacEwan has been appointed as General Manager at Pan Pacific Sonargaon

In this role, E.J. will oversee operations at the 277-room hotel, located in central Dhaka, close to the Motijheel commercial area, diplomatic area Baridhara and Gulshan, the Parliament House and Prime Minister’s Office. No stranger to the hotel or to Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts, E.J. served as its General Manager from 1997 to 1999 before he embarked on subsequent successful terms as General Manager at Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur and Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta. E.J. boasts an illustrious 35 years in hospitality, starting in Rooms, Restaurant, Bar and Catering Operations, initially in the United States, and then in the Middle East, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
