HMH - Hospitality Management Holdings To Triple its Inventory of Keys in UAE by 2020

Capitalizing on the UAE's powerful growth momentum, HMH - Hospitality Management Holdings has set in motion an aggressive expansion strategy in the emirates with a target to triple its inventory of rooms in UAE by 2020. Speaking at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) today, the group's CEO, Laurent A. Voivenel said, "We are in the process of negotiating several exciting projects in the UAE that will boost our existing inventory of keys by three times in the next five years".

HotStats MENA Chain Hotels Market Review – March 2015

Four and five star hotels in Dubai saw average room rates (ARR) fall by 5.5% to US$380.85 in March, according to the latest data from HotStats. Occupancy levels remained stable during the month at 88.8%, however the reduction in ARR had a flow-on effect on revenue per available room (RevPAR) which fell by 4.8% to US$338.25. A reduction in food and beverage revenues further reduced total revenue per available room (TRevPAR) which dropped by 8.9%. Although operational expenses were marginally reduced, the lower overall revenues resulted in gross operating profit per available room (GOPPAR) falling by 7.8% to US$306.62.

Stanislav Kondov has been named General Manager at the new Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Apartments Al Rigga.

Kondov was most recently with the Radisson Blu Resort Jizan, in charge of the new conversion. Prior to that he spent a number of years based in sub-Saharan Africa, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria, where he was responsible for driving business for the 170-room property, and at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton as the executive assistant manager. It was at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton that Kondov successfully completed the mentor/mentee programme taking him from the role of financial controller to the position of executive assistant manager.
