Joanne Taylor-Stagg has been appointed as General Manager at The Capital London

Joanne Taylor-Stagg is the new general manager at The Capital Hotel and Apartments in Knightsbridge and is also responsible for The Levin Hotel and The London Bakery. Joanne joined from her 2-year role as general manager at The Trafalgar St James where she successfully repositioned the hotel from a 4-star to 5-star luxury.  She started her 25-year career in South Africa and has spent 5 years in senior roles with ReDefineBDL (London and Birmingham), and 12 years with Marriott Hotels in the UK. Joanne's extensive experience in all key aspects of hospitality puts her in the perfect position to drive The Capital forward as a part of the prestigious Warwick Hotels & Resorts portfolio. She is a passionate hotelier and leading light among today's dynamic female general managers.

Javier Beneyto has been appointed as General Manager at COMO Metropolitan London

Beneyto joins the team after successfully launching COMO's newest addition to the collection, COMO Uma Canggu in Bali. Born in Madrid, Javier Beneyto began his career at the Arabella Sheraton Hotel in Palma de Mallorca, while studying hotel management at universities in Spain and Germany. Since graduating he has held managerial positions at hotels across the Caribbean, North America and Europe. At the beginning of 2009, Beneyto became the Hotel Manager of the award-winning Villa Magna Hotel - a five-star Grand Luxe member of Leading Hotels of the World. Beneyto joined COMO Hotels and Resorts in 2012 as acting General Manager of COMO Cocoa Island in the Maldives before filling the same role in London at COMO The Halkin. He then moved to the United States as the opening General Manager of COMO's Metropolitan Miami Beach, before relocating to Bali.

James Murphy has been appointed as Operations Manager at Sofitel London Heathrow

James Murphy, who will begin at Sofitel London Heathrow in July, has 13 years' experience in the hotel sector, and is moving from within the Arora Group. James was Meetings and Events Operations Manager at the Arora managed and owned InterContinental London - The O2, during its launch. He also has experience of Sofitel London Heathrow, having worked as Meetings and Events Operations Manager for the hotel between 2011 and 2015.

Patrick Mudalige has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Sofitel London Heathrow

With over 20 years' experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, Patrick Mudalige has worked in some of the world's most prestigious hotels including Hilton International, Burj Al Arab and Waldorf Astoria. Patrick later transitioned into senior roles in hotels including Marriott International, Boscolo Hotels, St Regis Hotels and Autograph Collection Hotels. He is a bronze, silver and gold medallist of the Craft Guild of Chefs and a member of Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. Patrick started at Sofitel London Heathrow earlier this month.

Stephen Mileham has been appointed as General Manager at Thistle Kensington Gardens and Thistle Hyde Park

Stephen Mileham, the former general manager of Donnington Valley Hotel & Spa, has joined glh Hotels to take over the running of two of the Thistle Hotels properties.Stephen, who took up the post in April 2018, will manage the group's west London Thistle properties, Thistle Kensington Gardens with its 175 bedrooms, as well as the historic Thistle Hyde Park which has 54 bedrooms.

The Andaz brand announced today its latest collaboration with (RED) - the AIDS organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver - the launch of a custom suite at Andaz London Liverpool Street personally designed by Sir Terence Conran, founder of acclaimed architecture and interior design firm, Conran and Partners. The (ANDAZ)RED Suite is available to book beginning June 22, 2018, with a portion of each booking going directly to support (RED)'s fight to end AIDS. Development of the 900 square foot suite (80 square meters) follows a larger renovation of the hotel's 267 guestrooms in 2017, completed by the team at Conran and Partners.
