His visionary character led him to be the first Spanish company to open an International hotel, in Nussa Dua (Bali), which is still a landmark in the destination, and to be a pioneer in the take-off of world-leading destinations like Cancun, Dominican Republic, or Cuba. Later, the company would expand in North America, Asia, and the main cities in Europe. His vision also led the group to develop a comprehensive portfolio of hotel brands, suitable for each customer segment and profile. Above all, Gabriel Escarrer inspired a strong set of family and professional values to the company that have always been the foundation for its growth and resilience to difficulties, and in turn the company is celebrating 60th anniversary in 2016.
