Brenden Carlton has been appointed as Key Account Manager - MICE at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation

Carlton will be overseeing and driving activity across the MICE segment. Prior to his appointment with Rotana, Carlton excelled as sales manager at SHL Hotels where he was responsible for driving targeted sales activity, generating a profit of over £100,000 a month on acquiring new business. With almost a decade of experience under his belt, Carlton will focus on implementing a key account base and growing revenues in the MICE segment for Rotana.

Roy Simes has been appointed as Area Director of Sales – United Kingdom, Ireland & Scandinavia at Rotana Hotel Management

As area director of sales, Simes will be heading the regional sales team based in London to grow revenues in the leisure and business travel sectors. A South African native, Simes has over 16 years experience honed in the international hospitality industry having served as director of sales at prestigious hotel groups, including: Hilton Worldwide, Corus Hotels and Laura Ashley Hotels. At Rotana, Simes will be generating lucrative sales targets aligned with Rotana’s business objectives and maximise business relations to drive occupancy.

Bart Carnahan has been appointed as Executive Vice President, Global Business Development at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts

Effective November 9, 2015, Carnahan will oversee Four Seasons global development efforts, working collaboratively with teams around the world to support the company’s growth objectives and build on the reputation of Four Seasons as the partner of choice for luxury hotel and residential projects. A seasoned development executive, Carnahan joins Four Seasons from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide where he spent the last eight years as Senior Vice President Acquisitions & Development, EAME, responsible for Starwood’s growth strategy throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East, for all of Starwood’s ten brands. During his time at Starwood Carnahan built and regionally aligned one of the industry's most effective and value generating development teams, increasing net hotel additions year on year. Prior to Starwood, Bart spent 18 years with Marriott International in various roles, including his last position as SVP Development. Currently based in Brussels, Carnahan will be relocating to Four Seasons global development office in London and will report to Four Seasons President and CEO J. Allen Smith.

Janel Clark has been appointed as Head of Consultancy & Education at SnapShot GmbH

Janel , a former Director of Revenue at Avvio and Revenue by Design, both in London, United Kingdom, will drive the Educational programmes already offered by SnapShot, including the bootcamps and the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC). In the past, Janel has been involved in the organisation and management of revenue management training academies throughout EMEA. Her background in revenue management will allow SnapShot to add further RM training and consultancy to its Educational programmes roster. Snapshot is a hotel data and analytics company built to facilitate access and use of data by hotels of all sizes. Founded by Michael Heinze and David Turnbull, the company"s board also includes members of STR Global, citizenM and Shiji Networks.

Jane Colbeck-McKinnon has been appointed as Regional Sales Coordinator at Corinthia Hotels

Corinthia Hotels announces the appointment of its new UK-based Conference & Incentives team. Janet Broomfield takes on the role of Group Director of Sales UK – Meetings & Events, while Alessia Cappuccini joins as Corporate & MICE Sales Manager. Jane Colbeck-McKinnon will support their work in her role as Regional Sales Coordinator. Working closely with Corinthia’s Director of Global Corporate & MICE Sales, Carey Duckworth, the team will focus on working with key UK MICE agencies; Partners, Direct Event & Meeting corporate; and Associations and Special Events.
