Launched last week at the Annual Hotel Conference in Manchester UK, Magnuson Worldwide's low cost global hotel reservation system CRS1 introduced the first ever CRS fee calculator. Michael Bonsor has been names hotel manager at Rosewood London, which opens next month following an £85m renovation. Bonsor joins the property with more than 15 years’ experience in luxury hotel management having begun his career at the Four Seasons in several locations in the USA, during which time he was director of restaurants for the launch of Michelin-starred restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon at the Four Seasons in New York.

Tim Flodin has been appointed the new General Manager of London’s five-star boutique hotel, Andaz Liverpool Street, with effect from September 2013. Flodin, who has had a distinguished career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts since 1984, has worked at multiple Hyatt properties in America but most recently held the position of GM at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham.
Former Trafalgar Hotel general manager Jurgen Ammerstorfer has been appointed hotel manager of Shangri-La at the Shard, the luxury hotel which is set to occupy the 34th to 52nd floors of Western Europe's tallest building The Shard. Working alongside executive vice president and general manager Darren Gearing, Ammerstorfer will be responsible for the day-to-day management and overseeing operations of the 202-bedroom hotel, which was originally setto open this summer, , before being pushed back to 'sometime in Q4' in May Before working at The Trafalgar, Ammerstorfer was general manager at Celebrity Cruises in Miami. The rest of his 13-year career has seen him work for Hilton in Egypt and Kuwait and for Preferred Hotels' Plaza on the River - Club and Residence, London and as banquet manager at The Leading Hotels of the World’s five-star Westgate Hotel in San Diego.
