As Executive Chef, Daniel Fennessy brings nearly four decades of culinary and hospitality experience to his role and is tasked with leading the hotel's extensive culinary division. He oversees all facets of the organization from menu development and kitchen supervision, to staff coordination and general day-to-day operations at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown's six acclaimed dining concepts, in-room dining, Club InterContinental lounge, and 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Fennessy's culinary fusion is influenced by his melting pot of experiences through which he has gained a deep knowledge of various international cuisines and cooking styles.

Gabriele Originario has been appointed as Director of Operations at SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills

Originario will be overseeing the hotel’s 297 renovated rooms and suites in addition to the property's 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor banquet and event space, and the hotel's critically acclaimed food and beverage programming, including two Michelin-starred Somni and Michelin Plate recipient The Bazaar by José Andrés. A native of Rome, Italy, Originario began his career in hospitality as a graduate of Amerigo Vespuci Instituo Alberghiero. In 2002, he followed his heart to San Francisco, California, where he would take on a range of immersive roles across the city's distinguished hospitality landscape. This included years spent as General Manager for Thomas Keller's Bouchon and Gaston Acurio's La Mar as well as captain at Huber Keller's Fleur de Lys, often considered one of the city's first chef-driven restaurants. Originario's passion for food and beverage would eventually lead him to transition into the hotel space, taking on the role of Director of Beverage & Food at the W San Francisco, overseeing operations for the hotel's vibrant culinary venues as well as banquets and catering functions. Prior to joining SLS Beverly Hills, Originario was part of the opening team for Hyatt Place San Francisco, where he served as Assistant General Manager. In his new role, and zipcode, Originario looks forward to immersing himself in LA's flourishing culinary scene. In addition to his love for food and travel, Originario is an avid fashion and fitness enthusiast, two additional interests that will make Los Angeles a natural fit.

Channing Henry has joined The PKF hotelexperts group as Managing Director, Head of US

With more than 15 years in hospitality development and consulting, Channing Henry brings a development perspective to PKF hotelexperts' extensive advisory work. Her focus is advising hotel developers and owners on highest and best land use analysis, capital strategies and fundraising services, brand positioning and negotiation, and planning and development services. Ms. Henry is responsible for business development and will co-manage the PKF hotelexperts operations in North America and the Caribbean.Prior to joining PKF hotelexperts, Ms. Henry co-developed the 148-key Downtown LA Proper Hotel, a historic rehabilitation project, in partnership with the Kor Group. She also partnered with BV R esorts on a 1,500-acre luxury resort master plan in Baja California, Mexico and a New York consortium on a 400-acre sustainable master plan in Costa Rica. She led the pre-development and performed extensive advisory work for urban hotels in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Fort Worth, and Todos Santos, Mexico, for brands ranging from Aman Resorts to Bunkhouse and Soho House. Ms. Henry previously worked as a development manager for the Kor Group, where she helped expand the Viceroy and Tides brands in Latin America and Miami. She began her career in real estate as a consultant with Robert Charles Lesser (RCLCo) in Los Angeles, where she performed market and feasibility studies for public and private sector developments across all land uses. Ms. Henry is on the Leadership Committee for ULI's Recreational Development Council and an Executive Committee member of the South Park Business Improvement District (BID) Board in Downtown Los Angeles. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Ar gentina and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Yale's School of Management.

Notable transactions executed by Ms. Whang include the programmatic joint venture capital raises for both AutoCamp and the McNeill Hotel Company, the refinancing of a four-hotel portfolio for the Denihan Hospitality Group in New York City, and the long-term refinancing of the Luxe Rodeo Drive hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Prior to joining RobertDouglas, Ms. Whang worked at Wells Fargo in the CRE Hospitality Finance Group, where she underwrote hotel properties for over $1.5 billion in loan proceeds for refinancings, new construction, and note acquisitions. Ms. Whang is a graduate of Cornell's School of Hotel Administration.

Dustin Taylor has been appointed as Executive Chef at AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay

The brand new AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay in El Segundo welcomes Dustin Taylor to its team as Executive Chef to spearhead its cutting-edge new F&B programming. In his role Taylor will be responsible for culinary direction, menu development and working closely with the dedicated kitchen staff on curating seasonally inspired recipes for the property. He'll also be the powerhouse behind the launch of Flora, the hotel's elevated new rooftop restaurant and bar, coming to South Bay in September 2019.
