Matthias Knilling has been appointed as Chef de Cuisine at Mandarin Oriental, Macau

Chef Matthias Knilling has joined Mandarin Oriental, Macau as its new Chef de Cuisine. Born in Germany, his interest in a career in culinary arts started at a very young age. Upon graduation, he went on to work in the kitchen of one of Germany’s most famous celebrity chef, Holger Stromberg. Thereafter, Chef Knilling has worked at the Michelin starred Schloss Elmau, Luxury Spa Retreat & Cultural Hideaway, a luxury 5-star hotel in Germany. He possesses comprehensive expertise in classical cooking for someone at such a young age and he has high ambitions to create innovative menus that to him, should be ‘art on the plate’. At Vida Rica, Chef Knilling will not only be creating a whole new western menu for the restaurant but he will also devise a new menu for Vida Rica Bar featuring all the favourite bar snacks. To sample some of his creations, visit the Tapas and Sangria themed night every Thursday from 6pm to 8pm at Vida Rica Bar or try the Degustation Dinner at Vida Rica Restaurant. Full of passion and enthusiasm, Chef Knilling hopes to introduce his very own style and finesse to the Macau dining scene.

Fabrice Collot has been appointed as General Manager at Banyan Tree Macau

Prior to joining Banyan Tree Macau, Mr. Collot has served six years as general manager at the award winning Leading Hotels of the World Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa in Mauritius, Wanda Realm Ma’anshan and Wanda Vista Tianjin in China starting from year 2011. Under his leadership, Wanda Vista Tianjin posted in year 2015 the best financial results since the hotel opening despite adverse market conditions caused by the Tianjin port explosion.

Jill Goh has been appointed as General Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Macau

Goh succeeds Martin Schnider as general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Macau. Goh also began her career with the group in Singapore in 1993, working her way up through the rooms division to become director of rooms in 2000, and eventually resident manager in 2006. Most recently, she was resident manager of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London before taking on the role of corporate operations manager, Asia based in Hong Kong in 2013.

Bill Scott has been appointed as Senior Resident Executive for Greater China at Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality, Ltd.

MGM Resorts International has announced the appointment of William M. Scott IV to serve as Senior Resident Executive for Greater China. In this role, Mr. Scott will serve as the Resident Director of Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality, Ltd., MGM's joint venture with Diaoyutai State Guesthouse to promote hospitality projects in China. He will also act as MGM Resorts' resident director for MGM China Holdings Limited, which owns MGM Macau. In his new position, Mr. Scott will facilitate cooperation, communication and synergies between MGM's Asian and U.S. based teams. Mr. Scott joined MGM Resorts in 2009 and was promoted to Executive Vice President – Corporate Strategy and Special Counsel in July 2010. In this role, he collaborated in the extension of the Company's primary credit lines, the refinancing of CityCenter's credit lines and other critical capital market transactions.
