Tammy Viktora has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Radisson Hotel Memphis University

The Memphian, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Opens In Midtown Memphis’ Overton Square

Developed by LPI Memphis in conjunction with MMI Hotel Group and LRC2 Properties, The Memphian, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, a boutique hotel located in Midtown Memphis' Overton Square, is set to bring a colorful new hospitality experience to Midtown Memphis when it open on May 4, 2021. The hotel will be a member of Tribute Portfolio, Marriott International's growing global family of characterful, independent hotels drawn together by their passion for captivating design and their drive to create vibrant social scenes for guests and locals alike. The project features 106 guest rooms including 9 suites in its 73,523 square feet of space, as well as on-property dining, a 24-hour state-of-the-art exercise studio, curated retail experience, and rooftop event space.

Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis Makes Its Grand Debut

First Caption by Hyatt hotel scheduled for 2022 in Memphis

Located at One Beale Street and adjacent Hyatt Centric Memphis Beale Street, which is set to open on April 15, Caption by Hyatt Memphis is expected to debut in 2022 and will be integrated into the historic main building of Wm. C Ellis & Sons Ironworks and Machine Shop, one of the earliest and longest running businesses in Memphis. The historic building will house the hotel's ground and second floors, and a new 136-guestroom tower will rise above offering guests spectacular views of the Mississippi River and city skyline.

Kristopher Colig has joined The Memphian, Marriott Tribute Portfolio as General Manager

Kristopher Colig joins The Memphian as General Manager. His extensive experience in the hospitality industry assures a driven team focused on achieving excellence. For more than 13 years, Colig served at a number of Hyatt Regency-properties as Assistant Director, Director of Food & Beverage and Director of Hotel Operations, where he successfully managed all aspects of hotel operations including food and beverage, catering, culinary, and engineering through a team of managers and service associates. In 2016, he was honored by Hyatt Hotels and Resorts as "Food & Beverage Director of the Year" while serving as Director of Operations in the Dallas / Fort Worth, TX metro area. That same year, Colig also took on key business responsibilities as owner of San Daniele Restaurant, where he played an active role in the brand's launch, budgeting, and business plan development.

Keith Potter has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis

Slated to open this March, Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis, a new build and the first full-service Hyatt branded hotel in Memphis, announces the appointment of Keith Potter as executive chef. Potter will curate the hotel's culinary program across all outlets including the lobby bar, Latin-American inspired CIMAS eatery and Beck & Call whiskey bar. Potter brings more than 17 years of culinary knowledge and experience to his new position as executive chef. With a background steeped in Chicago flavor, Potter received his culinary training at the Illinois Institute of Art. From there he went on to hold various leadership positions at some of Chicago's most notable hotels, including executive sous chef at Park Hyatt Chicago's NoMI Kitchen, sous chef at Hotel Lincoln's Perennial Virant and chef de cuisine at Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. In 2019 he took his talents to the west coast, taking on the role of executive chef at Ventana Big Sur, where he oversaw all food and beverage operations for the hotel's four kitchens and five dining outlets. At Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis, Potter will helm the culinary program by curating enticing menus and distinctive dining experiences for guests and ensuring food quality. "We're presenting a level of cuisine, service and ambience that's reflective of iconic Beale Street, but elevated and offering a distinctive aura that will leave guests and locals coming back for more," said Potter. Sarah Titus has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis

Titus has more than 15 years of unparalleled industry knowledge and experience, having held various front-of-house, back-of-house and managerial positions. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, Titus began her hospitality career at the Hard Rock Hotel Universal Orlando where she worked her way up the ranks from a front desk agent to assistant guest services manager. Longing to be back in the Windy City, Sarah took her talents to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, where she then expanded her portfolio by working with brands including Marriott, Hilton and Preferred Hotel Group before joining the Hyatt family. Most recently, she was the hotel manager of the Chicago Association Hotel by Hyatt, where she played an integral role in leading the hotel to maintain a 90% Overall Guest Satisfaction score for four consecutive years. In her new role, Titus will continue to bring a focus on guest satisfaction, handling daily operations, staff development, budgeting a nd financial planning, and increasing sales and revenue.

Nicholas Janysek has been appointed as Director of Sales, Marketing & Events at Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis

Janysek began his hospitality career in 2007 as an event coordinator at Doubletree Guest Suites Austin before working with various Marriott, Embassy Suites and Renaissance hotels in Houston and San Marcos. Since then, he grew his skillset with managerial positions at two Hyatt hotels in Ohio and Maryland. Most recently, he was director of sales, marketing and events at Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade where he exceeded the property's annual revenue by closing out 2018 with the highest banquet F&B revenue to date and achieved $300K above budget for the group segment in 2019. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis' sales and marketing efforts, developing strategies for revenue growth, and working with marketing and public relations to ensure consistent media messaging and social communication strategy. He will also manage a team of sales associates to create one-of-a-kind group experiences that reflect the culture of the city and maximize revenue potential for the hotel.

Kimberly Jordan Murray has been appointed as General Manager at The Westin Memphis Beale Street
