Dana Beth Hagendorf has been appointed as CMO and Vice President of Marketing at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Most recently, Hagendorf was Founder and Principal of Gallant Media Group, a brand consulting firm specializing in the growth of luxury lifestyle brands via marketing, advertising, media planning and creative, corporate identity, strategic partnerships, events and customer relationship management. There Hagendorf handled a number of high-end clients including the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and luxury jeweler Jacob & Co. Prior to the founding of Gallant Media, Hagendorf served as Vice President of Marketing at Audemars Piguet North America, the world’s oldest watch manufacturer still in the hands of its founding families, where she managed all of the brand’s marketing, advertising and public relations strategy for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Alina Molina has been appointed as Vice President Human Resources at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Prior to her role with Fontainebleau, Molina was Vice President of Human Resources at Turnberry Associates, overseeing all human resource functions including hiring, placement, organizational development, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, and risk management. Molina has nearly 20 years of human resource management experience that spans the retail, sports entertainment and hospitality industries. Prior to joining Turnberry Associates in 2003, she was Executive Director of The Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale. She has also directed the human resources departments for Miami's Pro Player (now Sun Life) Stadium, Williams Island and the Omni Hotels Hotel in Coral Gables. A Miami native, Molina holds a degree in hospitality management from Florida International University in Miami. Her professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resources Management.

Philip Goldfarb has been named President and Chief Operating Officer at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Jeffrey Soffer, Chairman and CEO of Fontainebleau Miami Beach, is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Goldfarb as President and Chief Operating Officer of the resort. Prior to his new role with the resort, Goldfarb spent seven years with Turnberry Associates. Goldfarb has 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to his position with Turnberry Associates, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for All Florida Hospitality Management for six years. Goldfarb’s previous affiliations also include Doubletree Hotels Corporation, where he served for 13 years, first as General Manager, then as Regional Director of Operations, overseeing 15 hotels from Atlanta to Coconut Grove. Lastly, he held the title of Vice President of Development, responsible for managed and franchised developments. For over a decade, Goldfarb served on the Broward County Tourist Development Council, and in 2005 was presented with the Tourism Trustee Award. During his 13-year tenure, he was instrumental in the development and transformation of the marketing for the Broward County Convention and Visitors Bureau. His leadership on the Marketing Advisory Committee allowed significant contribution to community initiatives such as Super Bowls, Breeders’ Cups, the expansion of the convention center, the opening of the Office Depot Center (now Bank Atlantic Center), September 11 recovery efforts, among many other initiatives. Goldfarb is a graduate of Florida International University’s School of Hospitality Management, where he currently presides on the School’s Industry Advisory Board. He was awarded the university's prestigious "FIU Medallion" in 2007, bestowed only to outstanding alumni.

Joseph DiBenedetto has been appointed as Director of Sales at Gansevoort Miami Beach

Boasting more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, DiBenedetto has most recently held the position of director of sales at Wyndham Nassau Resort, where he was responsible for driving group revenue and led his team to achieve 110 percent of the group goal for 2009. Previously, DiBenedetto held the position of associate director of sales at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to that, DiBenedetto was national sales manager at the AAA Five Diamond Bellagio Hotel & Casino, also in Las Vegas. DiBenedetto entered the hospitality field first with Sheraton Hotels in Miami FL and Paradise Island, Bahamas. DiBenedetto’s previous experience encompasses an impressive list of luxury properties, including the Ritz-Carlton San Juan Hotel & Casino, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Wyndham El Conquistador Resort & Country Club, Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

When the Lords South Beach Hotel opened last month in Miami, its brightly hued decor, trio of plunge pools and Absolut Vodka–partnered bar looked much like any other higher-end Miami resort. But the 53-room Art Deco confection, which is located a block from South Beach's main gay beach, is billing itself as the country's first large-scale, design-driven gay hotel. Not just gay-friendly, but gay through and through. The hotel worked with Out magazine to develop a Concierge App listing top local LGBT hot spots, asked Levi's to custom-design its gray and white jean uniforms, and is preparing to launch its own social network so guests can check one another out.

Craig Martin has been appointed as Managing Director at Gansevoort Miami Beach

Martin brings more than three decades of national and international senior-management level experience to Gansevoort Miami Beach. Most recently, Martin was chief operating officer of Sunset Resorts in Jamaica where he was outwardly involved in marketing and sales, and managed quality control programs, budgets and organizational structure internally.

George Cozonis has been appointed as General Manager at W South Beach

Bringing more than 16 years of experience to W South Beach, Cozonis joins the team from the soon to open W Retreat & Spa – Vieques Island (Puerto Rico) where he oversaw pre-opening operations of the property set to be unveiled this winter. Cozonis began his career with Omni Hotels in Boston and New York before relocating to South Florida in 1993 to manage the group’s prestige Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables. Following a successful eight year stint at the property, he was tapped to manage the Triple A-rated Five Diamond Omni Houston Hotel in Texas. Cozonis returned to South Florida in 2004 as Vice President and General Manager of the Sonesta Bayfront Hotel in Coconut Grove. Cozonis joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2008 as the General Manager of the Atlantic Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale Beach and has since been a key player in the management of properties in Florida and the Caribbean.
