Anton Coronelli has been appointed as Head at Accor's new Russia-CIS representation office

of 3,500 hotels from luxury to economy covering all brands : Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Mercure, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Adagio, ibis, ibis Styles, and ibis budget throughout 92 countries. Alexis Delaroff, Chief Operating Officer Russia-CIS comments: “Through the opening of this representation office, the rapid growth of our network and a strongpipeline, we are consolidating Accor’s presence in Russia-CIS. It gives us a strong position in a dynamic market, which offers many opportunities”. TheGroup reaffirmed its ambitious expansion in Russia and maintains its objective to reach a network of 50 hotels (over 10 000 rooms) in Russia-CIS by 2016, opening new countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Belarus, targeting main cities as well as tier 2 cities.

Allan Federer has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow

Mr. Federer has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry in senior management positions across North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. His rich and diverse experience, including more than 10 years of working with Russian and CIS clientele, makes him a knowledgeable expert in the Russian hospitality market. Mr. Federer will succeed Sandeep Walia in this position. A Canadian national, Mr. Federer previously worked as the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai and prior to that The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain which he opened to widespread acclaim in late 2009, helping to position it as one of the leading desert resorts in the USA. He joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in 2001 as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. Mr. Federer later moved on to hold General Manager positions for The Ritz-Carlton hotels in Turkey, Singapore and Ireland. He also held several senior regional positions in a number of luxury and boutique hotels in North America.

Mariam Khavadzha has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya

Having had a notable 17 years of work experience in the hospitality sector, Mariam has previously held leading sales and marketing roles with various hotel chains. Before joining Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya, Mariam Khavadzha was the director of sales and marketing in two Holiday Inn hotels in Moscow where she achieved outstanding financial results. Prior to IGH, Mariam has also held senior management positions with Radisson Slavaynskaya Hotel & Business Centre and regional sales office of three Marriott hotels in Moscow. In her new role, Mariam will be responsible for the sales and marketing functions of the hotel, including rooms, catering and revenue management.

Alexander Bakanov has been appointed as General Director at AZIMUT Moscow Tulskaya Hotel

Mr. Bakanov has more than ten years’ experience in the hospitality industry. He began his career in restaurant business in Germany. In 2004 has joined AZIMUT team in Samara, from 2008 until 2011 served as Deputy Director of 1000-rooms hotel AZIMUT in Saint Petersburg. In 2011 was appointed as a managing director of AZIMUT Hotel Novyi Bereg in Moscow Region. Since June 2012 serves as General Director of AZIMUT Moscow Tulskaya Hotel.

Aron Libinson has been appointed as VP Development for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG)

Libinson is now in charge of IHG’s growth strategy across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. He was previously head of real estate and a board member at OJSC Hotel Company, a joint venture between the city of Moscow and a property fund. Libinson handled the asset management strategy for the company. This included managing a portfolio of 11 hotels with more than 5,000 rooms. Prior to this, Libinson was head of hotel real estate development for Premier Hotels in the Ukraine.

David Jenkins has been appointed as Head of Hospitality Department at Cushman & Wakefield

Global real estate consultants Cushman & Wakefield are pleased to announce that David Jenkins is appointed as Head of Hospitality department. David Jenkins has more than 20 years of experience in hospitality, in Russia particularly. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield David worked as Head of Hospitality department for Russia and CIS in DTZ, Head of the Russian division of Horwath HTL, as well as in various roles for Marriott, Starwood and Rezidor in hotel management and operations.
