Florian Steinmaier has been appointed as General Manager at The Charles Hotel, a Rocco Forte Hotel

Mr Steinmaier joined The Charles from Villa Kennedy, Frankfurt, where he was General Manager since January 2020. He has held posts at a number of renowned establishments, such as the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel in Frankfurt, the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski and the Roomers Hotel, in Munich. He began his career in the industry as a hotel clerk at the Mandarin Oriental Munich, before moving to its sister hotel, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London, where he managed The Park restaurant. Steinmaier then moved to Switzerland to study at Les Roches School of International Hotel Management, where he graduated from his bachelor's degree with honours in 2009.

May 2022 Opening for WunderLocke – Sendling, Munich

WunderLocke aims to disrupt the Bavarian capital with a hospitality concept unlike any other in the city - and is the first Locke of its kind. Oliver Schäfer has been appointed as General Manager at Steigenberger Hotel Munich

Oliver W. Schäfer has many years of experience as Hotel General Manager with a strong background in the corporate and luxury hotel sector. Schäfer, most recently General Manager of Sheraton Munich Westpark & Four Points by Sheraton Munich Central, has been named General Manager of the Year by his former employer Marriott in 2016 and 2017. Oliver Schäfer will manage the Steigenberger Hotel Munich as General Manager from 1st April, 2019.

NOVUM Hospitality Hotel, together with HIGHSTREET Development and FIRST Immobilien, plan a niu in Munich

NOVUM Hospitality, HIGHSTREET Development GMBH and FIRST Immobilien GmbH have again jointly agreed to develop a niu hotel – this time in Munich, the capital of Bavaria, at Moosacher Straße 45-47, which is very close to attractions such as BMW World, Sea Life or Olympiapark, as well as the "Oberwiesenfeld" underground station. The niu hotel is planned to open at the end of 2019 and, with approximately 203 rooms, is one of the largest establishments in niu"s growing portfolio. That portfolio meanwhile encompasses over 40 development projects comprising about 7,000 rooms, and the latest news is that NOVUM Hospitality is currently planning two niu hotels, comprising almost 400 rooms, in Munich – the city on the River Isar.
