Templeman was most recently regional vice president for luxury hotel brand Viceroy based at its Snowmass, Colorado, hotel. Templeman’s predecessor in Nashville, Lukus Kindlesparker, was recently announced as the new general manager for the under-construction JW Marriott downtown. Kindlesparker served as general manager of The Westin Nashville for just a few months after a stint at The W Hotel in Midtown Atlanta. Wischermann Partners, the Minnesota-based hotel management company originally contracted to run the Westin, sued Castlerock earlier this summer after the group was abruptly fired just seven months after the hotel opened. The hotel ownership group took over management of the hotel and responded with an $8 million countersuit, claiming Wischermann had breached their contract by assisting a competing hotel developer. Wischermann argues the ownership group plotted their ouster in bad faith. Prior to Snowmass, Templeman helped open the Viceroy New York and worked at other Viceroy hotels in Chicago and Miami. He has also worked for Ritz-Carlton and the Four Seasons. “Hugh’s history of working with both international and domestic luxury hotel brands, such as the Ritz-Carlton and the Four Seasons, has added an excellent element to the Westin Nashville and we believe his experience makes him the perfect fit for this position,” Castlerock Vice President Ray Waters said in a release. Waters himself was general manager of the Westin before assuming the role with the ownership group late last year.
