Accor’s online booking solution for tourism professionals already deployed in more than 150 destinations

The online leisure group booking solution for tourism professionals was launched in March 2014. One year on, it has already been deployed in 500 hotels in 150 destinations located mostly in Europe. More than 3,500 leisure group bookings have been made to date via this platform which is available on accorhotels.com under the "Professional Solutions" tab, in the "Tourism" section. This demonstrates that this online solution meets the demand from sector professionals (travel agents, tour operators, coach holiday operators) for a simpler and time-saving system.

Starwood Capital Group completes the sale of Groupe du Louvre and Louvre Hotels Group to Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Development Co., Ltd.

Starwood Capital Group and Jin Jiang International Holdings Co., Ltd. are pleased to confirm that the sale of Groupe du Louvre and its 100% indirect subsidiary Louvre Hotels Group has been completed. Through Starwood affiliate Star SDL Investment Co., Groupe du Louvre was sold to the Luxemburg-based subsidiary of Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Development Co., Ltd., for an amount of €1.3 billion.

Willemijn Geels has been appointed as Associate Vice President Development at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG)

Willemijn GEELS ESSEC IMHI 2004 has been appointed Associate Vice President North & Eastern Europe for IHG and is responsible for the expansion of the group’s brands across the region. She has nearly 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry through various operational and development related positions. Before joining IHG, Willemijn was Development & Acquisitions Director for Louvre Hotels Group in Europe and previously she was active as Manager within the HTL practice of Deloitte. In that role, she headed multiple hotel valuations, feasibility studies as well as transaction and strategic advisory assignments.
