She brings extensive experience from renowned Marriott properties, including The Westin Kuala Lumpur, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, Sheraton Sanya Resort (China), and Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, culminating in her recent role as Hotel Manager at Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel.

Sunway City Kuala Lumpur has earmarked USD60 million for a tantalising transformation of its flagship property, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, in a bold drive to establish the urban destination as Asia's leading integrated resort complex and a regional tourism hub. Pioneering Sunway Group's investment in Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa is the most extensive initiative in the resort's 24-year history and sets out a visionary remodelling for a premier hospitality and entertainment development that will create a new benchmark for business and leisure experiences in the region for decades to come. Scheduled to reopen in phases from March 2021, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa will be defined by seamless integration featuring the reimagined 478-room property complete with a world-renowned hero restaurant brand, six cascading waterfalls amongst two landscaped pools and extensive family and health facilities as the centrepiece of an enhanced destination experience. Denis Vecchiato has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hilton Petaling Jaya

Vecchiato, who began his culinary career 13 years ago in Venice, Italy, has worked in kitchens of luxury and upscale hotels across the world from Dubai and China to the Philippines and India. Trained at the Professional Institute ‘Elena Cornaro’ majoring in culinary and hotel management, Vecchiato remains as passionate about food today, as he was when he started his career 13 years ago, explaining “I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to be a part of a brand with a legacy and reputation, such as Hilton. For me, being a chef is about delivering high quality, exciting food in a consistent manner, something I feel I will be able to achieve and look forward to doing at Hilton”.

Luc Bollen has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Petaling Jaya

Mr Bollen succeeds Mr Michael Nagel who managed the hotel from 2001 to July 2008 and now heads Hilton Beijing. Mr Bollen joined Hilton Hotels in 1993 and his most recent posting was as General Manager of Hilton Hefei in China, where he was instrumental in the development of the hotel throughout the pre-opening and operational phases. In just two years under his leadership, Hilton Hefei garnered numerous international awards that reaffirmed the hotel’s standing as one of the best business hotels in China. Starting his career in hospitality as an Executive Chef at Hilton Antwerp, he was then appointed to the position of Director of Operations at Hilton Shanghai, where he steered a team of one thousand employees to successfully increase guest satisfaction ratings and team member satisfaction. During this time he was also called on to serve as Acting General Manager. Mr Bollen’s career has taken him to many continents including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Gulf region, China and most recently Malaysia.
