Marie Laure Fleury joined the Montara Hospitality Group as Resort Manager at Trisara prior to her appointment as General Manager to oversee the re-development of the award-winning Boathouse on Kata Beach boutique resort in Phuket. Marie had left France to pursue a hotel career initially in Hong Kong with The Peninsula Group and later in Bangkok at The Sukhothai Hotel before joining Trisara as its Resort Manager.

After having worked for the Regent and Four Seasons chains including the Bangkok property for 18 years, Mr. Black went on to form his own boutique hotel group which subsequently became the Singapore-based SilverNeedle Hospitality Group, where he served as President until his retirement last year. For the last eight years he has been an Executive Director of Montara Hospitality Group.

A graduate from Thammasat University, with a Bachelor of Social Administration, Kitiphong brings with him 10 years of international sales experience. Prior to joining Mövenpick, he was with Sofitel Bangkok Silom and Pullman Pattaya as cluster director of sales. As the new director of sales, Kitiphong will be in charge of building relationships and assessing the needs of local business and overseeing sales efforts.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Kamala Bay Ventures Co., Ltd. for a Hyatt Regency hotel in Phuket, Thailand. The hotel will be the first Hyatt-branded resort to open in Phuket, one of Southeast Asia's premier resort destinations. Expected to open in late 2013, Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort will join two existing Hyatt-branded hotels in Thailand, including Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin.

Upon completion of an MBA in Australia, she began an International career by moving to China. Subsequently, she became General Manager at Le Meridien Nirwana Resort & Spa, Bali in Indonesia. Mr. Sevatasai joins Regent family with nearly 30 years of hospitality experience in senior management, sales and marketing positions with expertise in both sales and marketing and business development. Mr. Sevatasai was the Regional Director of Marketing, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Thailand, managed marketing and advertising for the brand across Thailand and worldwide. A graduate of the Oklahoma City University, U.S.A. where he earned a Master Degree in the Liberal Arts- Mass Communications.

Hailing from the famed gastronomic city of Lyon, France, Antoine joined Trisara in 2011 as Resort Manager, and after two years was promoted to General Manager when Anthony Lark took up responsibility of Montara Hospitality Group business development. Antoine had worked for Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and Six Senses before joining Trisara.
RICHARD MEHR has been announced as General Manager of the U Sunsuri Phuket, which will open on 1 April 2013. Mehr joins the Absolute Hotel Services property from the Banyan Resort & Golf in the Thai resort town of Hua Hin, where he also served as GM. He has 25 years of experience.
Mr Panton’s new position will see him reporting directly to the general manager. His responsibilities will cover community and environmental programs and initiatives, complementing the resort’s ethos to the Marriott International Sustainability plan of best global practices. Born in Malawi in southeast Africa, Mr Panton travelled throughout America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa before beginning his hospitality career. Mr Panton has been involved in teambuilding positions and the spa and wellbeing side of 5-star resorts in Mallorca, Thailand and Macau. Mr Panton recently performed the role of CEO/Founder of the corporate social responsibility project, SEEK Phuket. The project run by Thanyapura sought to develop a Phuket Sustainability Plan. The Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa works closely with the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation in protecting the endangered leatherback turtle nesting on Mai Khao Beach, where the resort is situated.
