Steven Adyani has been appointed as General Manager at The Guild Hote, San Diego

Alvin Mansour's Oram Hotels and Azul Hospitality Group have announced the appointment of Steven Adyani as general manager of The Guild, a 162-room Marriott Tribute Portfolio property set to debut in spring 2019. The Guild, housed in the historic Army-Navy landmark building in the city's downtown core, will be reimagined into a creative, design-forward destination, courtesy of Sormeh Rienne design, that will pay homage to the property's iconic history and its deep San Diego roots while simultaneously bringing forth a fresh, inspired take on contemporary hospitality unlike anything else in the city.

Crystal Wagner has been appointed as Executive Meeting Manager at Kimpton Solamar Hotel

As executive meeting manager, Crystal Wagner will be focused on both booking small groups across all market segments and working with the planners to detail the group and meeting specifications to execute flawless programs. In addition, Crystal will manage the social media marketing efforts for the hotel. Wagner joined Kimpton Solamar Hotel in 2016, as guest services agent, where she elevated the guest experience by providing friendly and knowledgeable guidance about the local area, attractions, restaurants events, hotel property and amenities. Prior to her time at Kimpton, Wagner held various roles in retail and sales management for over 15 years. Wagner holds a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Product Development from Kent State University.

Rosaline Verhoog has been appointed as Group Sales Manager at Kimpton Solamar Hotel

Kimpton Solamar Hotel announced today the appointment of Rosaline Verhoog as group sales manager and promotion of Crystal Wagner to sales coordinator of the 235-room downtown San Diego boutique hotel.As group sales manager, Verhoog will lead group sales efforts east of the Rocky Mountains with a focus on government, social, military, education, religious, fraternal, law, non-profit foundations and associations, entertainment, and corporate, increas ing exposure and revenue and supporting marketing campaigns for the boutique San Diego hotel.A tenured hospitality industry professional, Verhoog comes to Kimtpon Solamar Hotel from Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa, where she held a role as executive meeting sales manager. At Estancia, she found her passion for group sales, organizing team outing and consistently exceeding hotel revenue goals. She also held various roles at other San Diego hotels including W San Diego, Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, and US Grant. Verhoog earned her bachelor's degree in hospitality and tourism management from San Diego State University.

Charlestowne Hotels Welcomes The Bristol Hotel

Charlestowne Hotels proudly opens The Bristol Hotel as the first and only boutique hotel in Bristol, the Appalachian mountain city straddling Tennessee and Virginia. A significant addition to Charlestowne's extensive adaptive reuse portfolio, the management company partnered with developer McCall Capital on the historic preservation of the 65-room hotel, which opens at the original site of Bristol's striking 1925 Executive Plaza building. Charlestowne's team will continue to manage the operations, marketing and revenue management for the hotel and its two dining outlets, including an Appalachian-inspired family-style restaurant and the city's first rooftop bar.

Newly appointed as the Director of Sales at The Lafayette Hotel, Swim Club & Bungalows, Hallie Leitter manages the sales team and oversees marketing, room and group sales, catering and events. Leitter served as a sales manager for The Westgate Hotel in San Diego and event sales manager for restaurant group, McCormick & Schmick's, which own and operate Morton's The Steakhouse, The Oceanaire, McCormick & Schmick's, and Mastro's Restaurants.

Mario Thompson has been appointed as Area Director of Sales and Marketing at Three San Diego Area Hilton Hotels

Hilton San Diego Sales Complex has appointed Mario Thompson to the position of area director of sales and marketing for Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines and DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego - Mission Valley. Thompson most recently served as the director of sales and marketing at the 757-room Hilton Baltimore. Mario joined Hilton in 2009 as a senior sales manager for the corporate and pharmaceutical markets at the 1249-room Hilton Atlanta. During his tenure at the downtown hotel, Thompson was promoted to assistant director of sales in 2011, and then to the director of sales position in 2012. In 2013, Mario joined the Hiltons of Washington, DC sales complex as the director of sales prior to joining Hilton Baltimore in 2015. In his latest role, Thompson will oversee all marketing and sales activities while developing business strategies that drive market share, increase revenue and exceed business goals for the three San Diego hotels. Prior to joining Hilton, Mario held leadership roles in the front office, sales and catering at the New York Marriott Downtown from 2001 to 2006 where he was awarded Chairman's Circle in 2005 and 2006. In 2006, he was a senior sales manager for the Atlanta Marriott Marquis where he achieved President's Circle in 2007 and 2008 Global Sales Team of the Year. Mario enjoys golf, cooking and spending time with family. He will be relocating to San Diego with his wife Nicole and four daughters Briana, Olivia, April and Sophia.

Greystone Hotels Completes Multi-Million Dollar Renovation of The Bristol Hotel San Diego

Greystone Hotels, owner and operator of a collection of boutique hotels across California, announces the completion of a $7 million renovation of The Bristol Hotel. The multiphase project involved the remodel of the pre-existing 102 guest rooms and bathrooms together with conversion of the top floor meeting and event space into 12 news rooms and suites to create a 114-room hotel, with a brand new state-of-the-art fitness center located on the top floor. The hotel also instituted a complimentary expanded continental breakfast in the former restaurant space on the ground floor just off the lobby, which is also convertible into meeting space.

David Hall has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental San Diego

Brandon Walton has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Loews Coronado Bay Resort

With over a decade of sales experience and a passion for promoting San Diego, Brandon now directs all sales and marketing efforts for Loews Coronado Bay Resort. Formerly, he served as Director of Sales at the resort where he led the team to receive Loews Hotels "Sales Team of the Year" in 2015. Brandon has been responsible for the hotel's year-over-year growth in all key metrics and achieved the best annual sales production in the 26 year history of the property in 2017.

Michael Stephens has been appointed as Managing Director at Paradise Point Resort & Spa, A Destination Hotel

In Stephens' new role as managing director of the newly renovated resort, he will oversee all business operations, while seeking out new ventures for the resort and bringing exceptional guest services. He brings extensive experience in the hospitality industry, holding with various management positions with Hyatt Hotels both domestic and internationally. From his first general manager position at the Hyatt Regency Lexington in Kentucky to general manager at the Grand Hyatt DFW in Dallas Fort Worth, he further expanded his skillset as general manager of the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale in Arizona, followed by opening general manager of the Andaz Maui at Wailea and of the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Bringing more than two decades of hospitality expertise to the role, Feeley will oversee all operations, financial performance and guest satisfaction at the resort.  Before joining Noble House, Feeley's most recent role as general manager at The McCormick Scottsdale, had him focus on all areas of resort operations, financial performance and guest satisfaction. He increased revenue from $2.6 to $6.18 million, increased occupancy rates by four percent and improved guest service scores in just two fiscal years.
