Sharul Madi has been appointed as Director of Sales – MICE at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

Sharul’s hospitality career started at The Raffles Hotel in 2002 where he handled Catering Sales for three years before he joined The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore’s Catering team in 2005. Between 2005 and 2013, Sharul rose through the ranks and served as Associate Director of Sales for Business Travel and Regional Sales Manager before moving to The Westin Singapore as part of their pre-opening team to oversee Catering and Group Sales.

Louise Daley has been appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer Asia Pacific at AccorHotels

Louise Daley has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer Asia Pacific. She has been with AccorHotels for 26 years, having commenced her career in Australia before relocating to Bangkok in 2002 as General Manager, Finance for AccorHotels Asia. In 2005, she returned to Australia as Chief Financial Officer for AccorHotels Pacific. Louise assumed the role of CEO, Accor Advantage Plus (now Accor Plus) in 2011, helping to grow the business to 45 sales offices in 11 countries and expanding membership more than 30%.

Frank Trampert has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer - APAC at Sabre Hospitality Solutions

As the Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer - APAC, Trampert will lead Sabre’s hospitality business in Asia Pacific, with responsibility for its financial performance, customer engagement and overall growth across the region. He has deep experience in both hospitality operations and technology in Asia Pacific including leadership positions with Wyndham Hotel Group in Hong Kong, Carlson Hotels across four continents, Brand Karma in Singapore, and most recently as the CEO for Tune Hotel Group in Malaysia.

Benny Chung has been appointed as General Manager at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road

A Singaporean national, Benny’s career in the hospitality industry started at the former Hyatt Regency Singapore. With initial roles on sales and marketing, he went on to earn increasingly senior roles in operations and assumed his first General Manager role in 2008 at the Holiday Inn Hefei Downtown, China, after leading the pre-opening for the 700-room Crowne Plaza Yatai. Benny has gained reputable experience in leading teams at luxury brands including Mandarin Oriental and Langham, and was most recently General Manager of Langham Place Xiamen, having been transferred there after a successful stint with the former Eaton Luxe Nanqiao in Shanghai.

David Spooner has been appointed as Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific at Preferred Hotels & Resorts

In his role, Spooner will drive the company’s development efforts in the region, overseeing the strategic growth of the brand in key markets and ensuring the engagement and retention of nearly 100 existing member hotels, in collaboration with a team of Regional Directors and other associates based in offices across eight gateway cities – Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, and Tokyo.

Andrew Ashmore has been appointed as Head of Sales and Marketing at Coco Collection

With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Andrew Ashmore brings a wealth of experience in sales and marketing to his new role at Coco Collection. Most recently, he served as Chief Marketing Officer of Hashoo Hotels, Pakistan’s largest hotel chain. During Ashmore’s time there, he was overseeing all the marketing operations of the hotel group and was responsible in developing their vision and strategy in an environment that was challenging for tourism and hospitality. Prior to that, a prominent period of his career was with the renowned Hyatt group. With a Hyatt career that began in 1985, Ashmore’s last role was as Vice President of Global and Operational Sales for Hyatt hotels across EAME and India saw his strategic role in handling and managing over 350 key global sales accounts across the region from 2011 to 2013.
