Marriott Opens Dual-Branded JW Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott in Yinchuan, China

Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR), today announced the opening of its dual-branded hotel, JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan and Courtyard by Marriott Yinchuan in Northwest China, recognized as an "oasis in the hinterland," a historical and distinctive destination surrounded by deserts and the Helan Mountains. Invested and established by Ningxia Genyuan Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., the dual-branded hotel is an architectural masterpiece depicting a "Grand Sailing Ship" boasting a total of 513 rooms. The property will deliver purposeful and memorable service to guest, from the warm luxury experience signature to the JW Marriott brand to the innovative and passionate offerings from Courtyard by Marriott.

Steven Chin has been appointed as Executive Chef at Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan

Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan is pleased to announce the appointment, effective Aug 2019, of Steven Chin as Acting F&B Director at Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan. Originally from Malaysia, Steven graduated from the City and Guilds of London Institute of Culinary Art. With over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Steven has extensive culinary hotel experience with different luxury brands, such as Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons and Galaxy Macau. Through his vast exposure, he has acquired experience in new project development, restaurant concepts and kitchen design, and has become a culinary expert renowned for concept creation and the implementation of high-quality, imaginative and remarkable products. Until recently, Steven was based in Shanghai and has extensive work experience in China. He is fluent in Mandarin and English. In his new role, he will be a driving force in helping Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan maintain its excellent reputation in terms of its culinary offerings. He also plans to bring in exciting new concepts based on local market knowledge to enrich guests' experience and satisfaction.

Mr. Daniel Herrmann, who originates from Germany, has accumulated considerable experience within the Hospitality industries alike. He started his more than 12 years career at the Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt where he as well completed his Hospitality Management Degree.As a passionate Kempinski hotelier he worked at the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah Dubai, Kempinski Hotel Bristol Berlin, Kempinski Residence & Suites in Doha and the most recent assignment as Director of Food & Beverage at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center.After many years working in hotels around the world, he can utilize the wealth of knowledge he has acquired to continue the development and coaching of his coworkers, facilitating career development while striving to further quality of service in the hotel and promoting the brand value in order to provide an even more enjoyable experience for the Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan guests.
