Timothy Palmer has been appointed as Executive Chef at Fairmont Royal Pavilion

Fairmont Royal Pavilion, Barbados is pleased to announce Timothy Palmer has been appointed Executive Chef of Fairmont Royal Pavilion effective February 6th 2020. As the new Executive Chef, Timothy will oversee the culinary operations of Fairmont Royal Pavilion's three restaurants and in-room dining.Tim as he is affectionately called, brings 20 years of progressive experience in the Food & Beverage industry predominantly with the Fairmont Brand where he started his career in hospitality with Fairmont Jasper Lodge in 2000.Tim gained his Caribbean hospitality experience when he returned to the Fairmont Brand in 2007, this time with Fairmont Southampton Princess in Bermuda where he worked until 2010. Again, in order to further develop his career, Tim moved to Fairmont Royal York from 2010 for two years and then Executive Chef at Fairmont Winnipeg where under his stewardship, the flagship restaurant VG has won AAA 4-Diamond Award for 4 years consecutively from 2016 to 2019.

Joerg Roterberg has been appointed as General Manager at Saint Peter’s Bay Luxury Resort and Residences and Port Ferdinand Yacht and Beach Club Residences

Bringing over 25 years of international hospitality experience to UNNA Living, Roterberg is well positioned to oversee Barbados' stand-out resorts, having led luxury hotels in various markets, including Antigua, British Virgin Islands, South Africa and more. In his new role, Roterberg will be responsible for directing management, operations, and business development initiatives for the two oceanfront properties and continue positioning Saint Peter's Bay and Port Ferdinand as the finest accommodation choices in Barbados. 

Tammy LeBlanc has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Barbados Resort

In February of this year Hilton Barbados staff bid a tearful farewell to the former General Manager (GM) of the Hilton Barbados Resort, George Stanfield and now a new GM has been appointed. Tammy LeBlanc, who joins Hilton's Caribbean team from Canada will be heading up the Barbados team to oversee operations at the 355-room beachfront resort. LeBlanc has a hospitality career spanning more than 20 years with her most recent appointment being the General Manager of the Hilton Quebec. Prior to her tenure at the Hilton Toronto Airport, Tammy spent five years at the Hilton Saint John where she improved revenue; market share and customer satisfaction scores while motivating her team to win the prestigious 2010 Hilton Community Service Award for The Americas and 2009 Sales Team of the Year award. Her entrepreneurial vision and her commitment to achieving successful long-term results have garnered her key positions at hotels in the provinces of Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.

The House Reopens in Barbados

The House by Elegant Hotels, an adults-only boutique hotel on Barbados" platinum west coast, recently completed an extensive renovation to modernize its current ocean-inspired design, and created a space for the addition of a brand new spa. The 34-room all-suite property, which has been named one of the "Top Hotels in the World" by Travel + Leisure, welcomed its first guests on October 3 following its transformation.

Barbados Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel to Undergo Renovation

On August 21, 2017, Fairmont Royal Pavilion, Barbados will embark on an exciting renovation project designed to significantly enhance the facilities of the hotel and provide a comfortable and luxurious experience for future guests. The hotel lobby and all 72 guest rooms and suites will be completely transformed with a scheduled completion date of November 15, 2017, followed by a restaurant renovation in summer 2018.

Kirk Kirton has been appointed as Executive Chef at Fairmont Royal Pavilion

With more than 18 years of progressive culinary experience, Kirk, a local Barbadian, arrives at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion from the popular Lone Star Restaurant, in St James, Barbados, where he most recently served as Executive Chef. The Lone Star offers a fusion concept that combines Italian recipes with signature Lone Star classics, and is one of the most sought-after dining experiences in Barbados. "We are certain that visitors and locals will enjoy Kirk's new culinary creations at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion as much as they enjoyed the menus that he developed during his time at the Lone Star." mentioned Tim Morrison.

Tim Morrison has been named General Manager at Fairmont Royal Pavilion

Fairmont Royal Pavilion has named Tim Morrison as general manager. Morrison brings 25 years of hospitality experience to this role, joining the Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver in 1988 where he held several progressive positions. In 2003 Morrison joined Pan Pacific Whistler, Mountain Side Resort and Village Centre Resort as general manager and in 2006 he was appointed managing director/general manager for the Olympic and Paralympic Village during the Vancouver Olympic Games. In 2012, Morrison joined FRHI as hotel manager, Fairmont Royal York.
