Hoon Namgoong has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at The Fairmont Yangcheng Lake

HOON NAMGOONG is appointed as Director, Food and Beverage, Fairmont Yangcheng Lake. Hoon brings over 14 years experience to this position. He joined our Company in 1997 at The Fairmont Royal York where he held a series of progressive positions, including Night Auditor; Front Desk Agent; Assistant F&B Manager – Banquets in 2002; Assistant F&B Manager - Benihana Japanese Steakhouse in 2004; and Acting Manager of Epic Restaurant / Lounge in 2005. Hoon transferred to The Fairmont Banff Springs in 2006 as Food & Beverage Manager / Sales and in 2008 he was appointed to his most recent position as Food & Beverage Manager, The Fairmont Waterfront. Hoon holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Hospitality and Tourism and a Minor Degree in Human Resources from Ryerson University in Toronto, as well as a Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management with Honors from Humber College, Toronto. Hoon was awarded twice as Star of the Month at The Fairmont Royal York and once as Leader of the Month at The Fairmont Waterfront.

Marc de Beer has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Beijing Wangfujing

With an international career spanning 20 years, de Beer has extensive hotel management experience in Europe, the United States, United Kingdom and the Middle East. Prior to taking on his new role at Hilton Beijing Wangfujing, he held the position of General Manager at the Conrad Brussels.Having worked with Hilton Worldwide for over seven years, de Beer was the Director of Operations at Jeddah Hilton and was responsible for the opening of Qasr Al Sharq, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2006 which became the first international managed property under Hilton’s top luxury brand. During his tenure, the hotel won numerous awards such as Best New Hotel of the Year in the Deepa Hotel Awards 2007.
