Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR), today announced the opening of its dual-branded hotel, JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan and Courtyard by Marriott Yinchuan in Northwest China, recognized as an "oasis in the hinterland," a historical and distinctive destination surrounded by deserts and the Helan Mountains. Invested and established by Ningxia Genyuan Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., the dual-branded hotel is an architectural masterpiece depicting a "Grand Sailing Ship" boasting a total of 513 rooms. Hotel Nikko Chengdu Yixin Lake to Open in October 2022

Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hotel Okura Co., Ltd., announced that it will open Hotel Nikko Chengdu Yixin Lake in October 2022. Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is a new first-tier city in China and host to many of the world's leading companies. The company has contracted with Aerotropolis City Development Group Co., Ltd. to manage the new property through its joint venture BTG Nikko International Hotel Management Co., Ltd.

Olivier Dumonceaux has been appointed as Hotel Manager at The Opposite House

Olivier started his hospitality journey at a young age, and after graduating from Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France with a major in hospitality management, he joined The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company LCC where he honed his leadership skills in their restaurants & bars. Olivier then went on to serve at EMAAR Hospitality Group LCC, leading the team in the opening of The Address Dubai Mall and six other restaurant outlets within the group. After that, Olivier moved to Seychelles to be the Food & Beverage Division Manager of Raffles in Praslin Island, and after three years, continued his journey to Mainland China where he became the Director of Food & Beverage at Raffles Beijing Hotel. In 2016, he joined Swire Hotels as the Director of Restaurant & Bars at The Temple House, where he oversaw the preopening and opening of the award-winning property, and soon after was then promoted to Executive Assistant Manager. Mark Passmore has been appointed as General Manager at The Middle House

Mark Passmore has a wealth of experience in many different aspects of the hospitality industry. After graduating from the University of Gloucestershire, Mark eventually went on to serve as Deputy General Manager at the Hotel Seattle in Brighton as well as numerous other postings with Alias Hotels throughout the UK. He served as General Manager at the Avon Gorge Hotel in Bristol before moving his focus to Asia to join Swire Hotels in Hong Kong in 2007. Mark later moved on to become the General Manager of The Temple House in 2013, overseeing the preopening and opening of the award-winning property. In 2016, he relocated to Beijing as General Manager of the group's first property, The Opposite House. Together with The Opposite House team, Mark welcomed the 10th Year anniversary of the House in 2018. Later in 2020, he was transferred to Shanghai and took on the role of General Manager at The Middle House. Mark is passionate about photography, travel, and fine food and drink.
