InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort ​& Spa has ​appointed Fiji native and fourteen-year hotel veteran, Hudson ​Mitchell as Director of Sales​ this week – the first Fijian citizen to hold this position since the resort opened in 2009. An experienced hotelier with a successful career in his wake, Mr. Mitchell's driving principle to set rather than follow the standard, has seen his career leap from strength to strength. Joining the resort from his role of Director of Sales at Namale Resort & Spa in Savusavu, Hudson is looking forward to the opportunities working with a global brand presents.

Erik Stuebe has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental Fiji

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa have announced the appointment of Erik Stuebe to the role of Area General Manager, to be based at the luxury resort on the iconic Natadola Bay. With outstanding expertise in hotel development and management, Stuebe joins the award-winning InterContinental Fiji with over 30 years of invaluable experience. Erik obtained his qualifications in Europe and has since spent 14 years with Accor hotels prior to founding his own Hotel Management consultancy firm for independent hotels.

Alexandra Ridgway has been named Director of Sales & Marketing at Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa

Experienced accommodation industry specialist Alexandra Ridgway has joined the Sofitel Luxury Hotels group, having recently been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing for the brand’s flagship property in Fiji, the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa.Alexandra (who commenced her management career with Sofitel’s parent company Accor in 1999 as a Key Account Manager in Accor’s Corporate office in Melbourne) was most recently with the Fraser Suites in Sydney. She spent four years with Fraser Suites working across various roles including Director of Sales & Marketing and later as Acting General Manager. Previously Alexandra’s career saw her work with several other five-star international hotels and groups, including Marriott International (Sydney Head Office) as a Senior Manager in cluster sales, the StamfordPlazaHotelSydney as Associate Director of Sales and later Director of Sales and Marketing. She also worked with the A.N.A Hotel (now the Shangri-La Sydney) as Associate Director of Sales.

Luke Mitchell has been appointed as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at InterContinental Fiji

InterContinental Fiji has appointed IHG veteran Luke Mitchell as their new Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. With more than 11 years experience the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Mr. Mitchell’s appointment to the award-winning resort is set to be the pinnacle of his career and he is looking forward enriching his expertise with the world renowned brand. A commitment to delivering excellence and an engagement with the IHG ‘Room to Grow’ program has seen Mr. Mitchell evolve into bigger and better roles and pursue a rewarding career. Originally employed as a banquets attendant at Holiday Inn Surfer’s Paradise, Mr. Mitchell soon spread his wings to take on supervisory and managerial positions, and aspires to become a General Manager.

Nicholas Mina has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa

Nicholas was promoted to his new position after two years as the resort’s Director of Conferences & Incentives and will relocate from Sydney to Fiji for the role. In his new expanded position, he will continue to oversee the resort’s C&I activity and in addition overlook all other segments including the wholesale and leisure markets. Nicholas originally joined Sofitel Luxury Hotels in 2008 from CI Events where he was Business Manager, armed with strong experience in hotel business development. Previously he was with Starwood Hotels and Resorts for 12 years, and the Intercontinental hotel in Sydney where he focussed on the corporate market segment. Nicholas takes over the reins from former Director of Sales & Marketing for the Sofitel in Fiji, Heather Gordon.
