Friedrich von Schönfeldt's hotel career began with an apprenticeship as a hotel management specialist at Four Seasons Berlin. From there, his trajectory took him to New York, Doha, Mumbai, Cairo, Beirut, London and Dubai, mainly under the banner of Four Seasons and Hyatt. He has also received a degree in International Hotel Management from Hotel School Hamburg. He has been working as Hotel Manager at Steigenberger Icon Frankfurter Hof since 2020. He has been General Manager of Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Handelshof since 1 March 2023.
Guntram Weipert held positions along the way at St. Regis, Four Seasons, Hyatt and Hilton, before joining Steigenberger Hotels in 2008. Initially working as Rooms Division Manager, he was first appointed General Manager at what was back then Steigenberger Hotel in Gstaad in 2014. From there he moved on to Steigenberger Zurich before becoming General Manager at Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Handelshof in 2019. He has now taken up the post of General Manager at Steigenberger Icon Parkhotel in Düsseldorf, a position he has held since 1 March.
In 2022, German hotel investment volumes reached €2.0bn. This was 20% below the previous year and 42% short of the 10-year average. Transaction activity has been impacted by the rising cost of debt, inflation, recession fears as well as uncertainty around hotel pricing. After working as Assistant F&B Manager at Holiday Inn Bristol in the UK, he continued his career path at Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts climbing the ladder at Steigenberger Hotel Berlin up to his Hotel Director positions at hotels in Frankfurt, Meran, Gstaad, Bad Homburg, Konstanz and Bad Neuenahr, as well as running the Steigenberger Festspielrestauration at the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth for 6 years. From his latest assignment in Krems he will now become the new General Manager at MAXX Hotel Sanssouci Potsdam.

On May 1st, he will take over IntercityHotel Hamburg Dammtor-Messe as General Manager.
Nikolaus Kunz started his career as a receptionist, shift leader and guest services coordinator in The Leading Hotels in Heidelberg, Zurich, Berlin and Scotland. After further career stations in the 4- and 5-star segment in Lucerne, in Frankfurt-City and Gstaad, he became General Manager of IntercityHotel Erfurt. As of 1 March 2023, he will become General Manager at IntercityHotel Karlsruhe.
After Burkhard Kohlhoff, a trained hotel specialist, started his career as a receptionist in Hamburg, he gained numerous experiences at Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Dorint Hotels. Hamburg-born Kohlhoff is with Deutsche Hospitality since 2011, being a General Manager at the IntercityHotel Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. Since 2019, he is in charge of IntercityHotel Hamburg Dammtor-Messe. He will now take over the Lübeck property as General Manager on May 1.
