Marcus Grebenstein has been appointed as Head of Development D-A-CH at MEININGER hotels

MEININGER hotels are pleased to welcome Marcus Grebenstein as Head of Development D-A-CH. Marcus's appointment is part of MEININGER's intention to drive its development strategy to establish a presence in all key European cities within the next four years. MEININGER hotels currently have 16 hotels in 10 European cities.Marcus previously worked as Director Development Germany for Regus where he spearheaded the company's expansion in Germany from 2010 to secure and negotiate over 30 transactions. Marcus is highly familiar with the German real estate market, where he has worked in various capacities over the past 17 years and has developed a wide network of contacts with agents, asset managers, developers and investors within the D-A-CH region.Marcus graduated as a Business Administrator (Diplom - Kaufmann) from the FU Berlin and trained at the Hotel Seehof in Berlin.Married with one child Marcus lives in Berlin and speaks German, French and English.

IntercityHotel continues to grow and is coming to Karlsruhe, Germany in 2023

Deutsche Hospitality is launching a new project in its Upper Midscale Segment. The four-star IntercityHotel Karlsruhe will take shape right next to the city's main railway station and will form part of a new and high-end complex to be known as KA DREI. The collection of buildings on the site will also include two office blocks with retail space, an underground car park and a café. The hotel itself is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2023 and will offer 194 rooms, a restaurant and a bar, all designed by the Italian architect and designer Matteo Thun. It will also house an events facility extending over an area of 233 square metres and four conference rooms. Qcoon Real Estate GmbH and FORTOON Development GmbH, both of which are Hamburg-based companies, will share responsibility for project development and construction management of the building complex KA DREI.

Thomas Nixdorf has been appointed as General Manager at IntercityHotel Hanover

Thomas Nixdorf, General Manager of the IntercityHotel Hanover Hauptbahnhof Ost, has also assumed an additional responsibility at the helm of the IntercityHotel Hanover. Lisa Edelmann, who has managed the hotel since 2019 and joined IntercityHotel GmbH in 2012, is now leaving the company at her own request. This means that Mr. Nixdorf will be returning to run a hotel at which he was the opening Director as long ago as 2009. He subsequently continued his successful management reign until 2013.
