The current trend at the NOVUM Hotel Group is growth -- this applies particularly to the new midscale millennial brand niu. The niu Saddle in Fürth is one of the newly acquired hotels. The NOVUM Hotel Group rents the 103-room hotel on the centrally located Gebhardtstrasse from P&P Real Estate GmbH. The opening is scheduled for mid-2018. Over 30 additional themed hotels of the niu brand are currently in the development phase.

He held various positions before advancing to become General Manager of the IntercityHotel Magdeburg during the past four years.

Mr. Sieber-Wagner already has experience of his new place of employment, having acted as Deputy General Manager there in 2010. Anton M. Wüstefeld will be taking up the reins at the IntercityHotel Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Süd, which will become the brand’s new flagship when it opens for business in 2019. Mr. Wüstefeld most recently completed a successful long-time stint as General Manager of the IntercityHotel Frankfurt Airport. He can look back on 45 years in the hotel business and will be bringing all this experience to bear as he guides the hotel through its pre-opening phase and ensures a smooth transition to regular operations.
After the agreement between the NOVUM Hotel Group and GP Papenburg Hochbau GmbH was signed in April and the opening at Riebeckplatz 10 was scheduled for mid 2019, the neighbourhood concept for the Millennial brand hotel has now been firmly established. Each niu hotel has a character that is inspired by its location, and recounts a specific story through a coordinated and innovative design concept. The theme of salt mining reveals the history of Halle anecdotally throughout the hotel, from its 186 rooms to the Living Lobby.

This new concept means the travel publication awards will receive valuable exposure through marketing and communications support. Furthermore, two representatives of the book industry have agreed to act as patrons of the awards: Lothar Wekel from the publisher Verlagshaus Römerweg and Martin Riethmüller from the RavensBuch bookstore. A new category has been established under the heading of the ITB BookAwards: the 'Frankfurt Book Fair Guest of Honour'. This award will be presented by the jury of the ITB BookAwards at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2018.
