Rizwan Shaikh has been appointed as General Manager at Fairmont Jaipur

haikh has over 17 years experience of working in the luxury hotel space. He started his career in 1995 as a Management Trainee with Sterling Holiday Resorts, Ooty. He joined Holiday Inn, Goa, India in 1997 as Duty Manager and held progressive rooms division positions in various hotels throughout India. In 2005 he was appointed Executive Assistant Manager with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts at the Trident Hilton Bhubaneswar, India and a year later was promoted to General Manager of the same hotel. In 2010 Shaikh joined the first Four Seasons Hotel in India, at their property in Mumbai, as the Hotel Manager and joins us from his most recent position as Hotel Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Singapore where he transferred in 2012.

Sunjae Sharma has been named Area Director- Bengaluru, Chennai, Hampi and Kathmandu at Hyatt International

A graduate from the Institute of Hotel Management, Sharma started his Hyatt innings with the Grand Hyatt in Delhi as Director of Food & Beverage. His next destination was Hyatt Regency Kolkata as Director of Operations, owing to his passion for perfection and the exemplary people management skills. In 2009, Sharma was assigned the challenging and exciting responsibility of opening Hyatt Regency Chennai, Hyatt International’s first foray into South India.

Asia Pacific portfolio gets a boost with seven new signings in India, China and Indonesia

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Asia Pacific announced the signing of seven new hotels during the second quarter of 2013, including new Radisson Blu, Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotels that will strengthen Carlson Rezidor's presence in gateway cities like Shanghai, as well as emerging cities and leisure destinations, such Noida and Gorai Island in India. The signings also include a hotel in the holiday destination of Batam, marking Carlson Rezidor's entry into the Indonesian market. These latest deals bring Carlson Rezidor's Asia Pacific portfolio to 91 hotels in operation and 65 in development.
