Swiss-Belhotel International Celebrates Grand Opening Of First International Hotel In Serang, Banten, Indonesia

Swiss-Belhotel International, the global hospitality management chain, has celebrated the grand opening of Swiss-Belinn Modern Cikande, a stylish new midscale hotel in Banten, the westernmost province of Java, Indonesia. This landmark opening marks the arrival of the first internationally-branded hotel in Serang, Banten's capital, and to mark this occasion a major launch party was held on 27 September 2018 featuring traditional dance performances, speeches from top executives and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. Nadine Waechter-Moreno has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Bali

A native of Luzern, Switzerland, Chef Waechter-Moreno started her journey in Hyatt at Park Hyatt Tokyo, as Chef de Cuisine at New York Grill, from 2008 to 2010, before rising to Executive Chef position in the same hotel from 2010 to 2013. Chef Waechter-Moreno played a vital role in the preopening of Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen in Mexico, where she worked as Executive Chef overseeing three outlets. A foodie at heart, Chef Waechter-Moreno reveals the reason why she returns to Asia is because of the food. "I love Asian cuisine's variety, flavour, and the fact that each region has a specialty dish. I am excited to learn and dig into it from my future colleagues and chefs." In her spare time Chef Waechter-Moreno likes to try different restaurants. "Bali food scene is amazing and I cannot wait to experience the different eateries around the island," says the chef.

In his new role Stijn will oversee the hotel's outlets and event spaces: Omang Omang; all-day dining, Pizzaria; beachfront Italian restaurant, Piano Lounge; a lobby bar with live entertainment and Hyatt's signature Residence meeting spaces including a 500m2 ballroom. Stijn's journey in Hyatt has brought him to many exciting destinations around the world, from Johannesburg, Shenzhen, Manila, Bangkok, and now Bali. "My absolute favorite part of the job is putting smiles on our guest's faces, something I look forward to achieve in Bali," says Stijn. Mohamed Kerzazi has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager - Room at Hyatt Regency Bali

Mr Kerzazi is a highly experienced EAM Rooms whose career spans over 23 years in international Hyatt properties. Born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco, Mr Kerzazi started his first job working as a Front Office Clerk at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in 1995. He then rose to various positions in Rooms division within Hyatt hotels in USA, Canada, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and now, Indonesia. Hyatt Regency Bali will be the seventh hotel that Mr Kerzazi co-opens. Previously he played a vital role in the opening of two city hotels, two resorts and the first Andaz property in USA. Mr Kerzazi is honoured to be part of the pre-opening team of the Hyatt in beautiful Sanur.
