Starwood Hotels & Resorts to Debut First Luxury Hotel in Tokyo

The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT), today announced it will debut the brand's first hotel in Tokyo in July 2016. Owned by Prince Hotels, Inc., The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, aLuxury Collection Hotel, will be located in the heart of Tokyo's Kioicho neighborhood, marking The Luxury Collection's second property in Japan, following the opening of Suiran in Kyoto in April 2015.

Hilton Worldwide Grows its Footprint in Japan with DoubleTree by Hilton Naha Shuri Castle

Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) and DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the signing of a management agreement with Ryukyu Hotel Resort Naha Co., Ltd to re-brand Hotel Nikko Naha Grand Castle and to manage the hotel as DoubleTree by Hilton Naha Shuri Castle. When the converted DoubleTree by Hilton Naha Shuri Castle opens in July 2016, it will be Hilton Worldwide's 13th operating hotel in Japan.

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts Debuts First Japanese Ski Resort in Hokkaido

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT), today announced the opening of Sheraton Hokkaido Kiroro Resort, owned by Kiroro Resort Holdings Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Property Perfect PLC. Following extensive renovations, the resort opens as the brand's first ski resort in Japan. Situated right in the center of the action at Kiroro Resort, Sheraton Hokkaido Kiroro Resort offers ski-in, ski-out luxury combined with all of the brand's signature amenities and services.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Re-Enters Okinawa Japan with Signing of Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) today announced an agreement with Sunmarina Operations Co., Ltd., part of Ishin Hotels Group, to debut the iconic Sheraton brand inOkinawa, Japan. The 200-room Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort will be located directly on Sunmarina Beach, boasting panoramic views of East China Sea. Demonstrating the brand's global reach, Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort is scheduled to open in mid-2016 after an extensive re-branding of the existing Sunmarina Hotel, with an additional 45 rooms being added in early 2017 through the construction of a new-build tower.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Debuts Tribute Portfolio in Asia Pacific with Opening of the Kiroro, Hokkaido

(NYSE:HOT) today announced the debut of its tenth brand, Tribute Portfolio, in Asia Pacific with the opening of The Kiroro, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel,Hokkaido. Located in one of the world's best powder skiing destinations, the 282-room hotel, owned by Kiroro Resort Holdings Co., Ltd is situated at the base of The Kiroro Resort with access to a number of trails and winter activities. The hotel will undergo expansive renovation of its public spaces and guest rooms at the end of the current ski season, completing its refresh by September 2016.

Josh Roberts has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Fukuoka Sea

Replacing Christian Baudat as General Manager at the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk is Josh Roberts, currently serving as Hotel manager at that property. He joined Hilton Worldwide as Director of Sales at Hilton Sydney in 2008 after a hospitality career in Australasia, where he gained experience and held commercial roles at properties in New Zealand, Perth, Canberra and Sydney.
