Cancun’s Largest Resort Chain, Palace Resorts, Automates Linen and Laundry Operations with InvoTech

Palace Resorts, the company that sets the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations, recently installed the InvoTech Systems, Inc. Multi-Property RFID Linen and Laundry Systems for automated linen and laundry control and cost reduction. Palace Resorts implemented the InvoTech Linen System at all of its resort properties and installed InvoTech's Laundry System at the Palace Resorts laundry distribution center. UHF-RFID technology accurately inventories half a million linen items InvoTech installed UHF-RFID Linen Reading Stations at each Palace Resort for real-time tracking and processing of entire laundry carts of soiled linens going to the Palace Resorts laundry distribution center. The UHF-RFID Reading Stations also process pallets of bundled clean linens returned by the laundry. The pallets carry as many as 3,000 linen items. Palace Resort's laundry distribution center, uses the InvoTech Laundry System to keep each resort's linens separate while at the same time, monitoring quality control and automates recordkeeping for all laundry activity and expenses for each property. InvoTech automatically tracks linen movement between each resort and the laundry center to eliminate losses and to ensure that the linen is delivered to the correct resort. Palace Resorts uses UHF-RFID Portable Handheld Readers with InvoTech Mobile Software to automate the monthly physical inventory of linens at each property. Palace Resorts has approximately 500,000 linens tagged with Fujitsu UHF-RFID laundry tags provided by InvoTech. InvoTech's UHF-RFID reading stations are powered by Impinj Speedway Revolution Readers. InvoTech also supplied Palace Resorts with Motorola MC9190-Z UHF-RFID portable handheld readers utilizing InvoTech Mobile Software. Francisco J. Silva has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

Alex Stadlin, Chief Executive Officer, Playa Resorts Management, announced today the appointment of Francisco J. Silva as General Manager for the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Mr. Silva joins Playa from Villa del Arco Resort & Spa in Los Cabos. The new resort is located beachfront on the spectacular Sea of Cortes in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, and is a premier Hyatt-branded, all-inclusive resort. Mr. Silva succeeds Hernan Vanegas as General Manager at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Mr. Vanegas, who has been with Playa Resorts in various capacities since its inception, has accepted the position of Vice President of Asset Management in Mexico for Playa Resorts Management and will be headquartered at Playa's office in Cancun.

Bernard de Villele has been appointed as General Manager at St. Regis Mexico City

De Villèle is widely recognized as a successful hotelier and entrepreneur within the luxury hospitality industry. Prior to joining The St. Regis Mexico City, de Villèle served as general manager of The St. Regis Mauritius Resort, where he oversaw the hotel's opening in 2011. Under his leadership, the hotel was awarded Hideaways Hotel of the Year in 2012 and Condé Nast Traveler's Hot List in 2013, among others. Beginning with a degree in Hotel Management from the world-renowned École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, de Villèle's celebrated career crosses multiple continents with tenures in award-winning properties and senior management and executive roles for St. Regis, Four Seasons, Hilton, InterContinental, Orient Express Hotels, Rosewood Hotels, Savoy Group and TAJ Hotels, where he served as vice president of operations for Europe and the Americas. His vast experience also includes serving as Lebanon area general manager for Habtoor Hotels, leading the opening of The Lanesborough Hotel, major renovations of the legendary Resort La Samanna with Orient Express Hotels and the establishment of 51 Buckingham Gate, TAJ Suites & Residences. He has also been awarded numerous accolades for his accomplishments, including being named one of the finest hoteliers worldwide by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences in 2003. De Villèle is the son a French diplomat and spent his childhood in Mexico. He speaks French, English Spanish and has a good notion of Italian and German.

Pilar Rios has been appointed as Area Director of Sales and Marketing at Viceroy Hotel Group - Mexico Resorts
