IntercityHotel Zurich Airport is taking shape

The IntercityHotel Zurich Airport will become the brand's first venture into Switzerland when building works are completed in 2020. Construction is now beginning on schedule, and a number of characteristic features are already emerging. As with all IntercityHotels, the USP will be easy accessibility. The IntercityHotel Zurich Airport is extremely conveniently positioned at Rümlang Station right next to the airport grounds themselves. Like all the brand's new generation hotels, its interior design concept will bear the signature of the Italian architect Matteo Thun.

Michael and Stephanie Lehnort has been appointed as joint General Managers at Valsana Hotel & Apartments

Following it's opening in December 2017, Valsana Hotel & Apartments has appointed Michael and Stephanie Lehnort as joint General Managers. The Valsana is one of the most modern hotels in Switzerland in sustainability and design, and now under the leadership of Stephanie and Michael, it is set to successfully continue its 100-year tradition. Lenhort has a degree in hotel business administration and began his career in Germany at the Brenner's Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden. Here, he met his wife, Stephanie Lehnort who worked in Brenner's as the Director of Events. Together, they moved to Switzerland, where Michael spent five years as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Gstaad Palace, and Stephanie worked at the Park Hotel Vitznau as Director of Events and at the Gstaad Palace as the E-Commerce Manager. The pair then moved to the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, where Michael served as the Deputy General Manager.

Sabine Dorn-Aglagul has been appointed as President - Europe at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has promoted Sabine Dorn-Aglagul to President Europe, effective immediately. Having joined Mövenpick in April 2017 as Director of Operations, Switzerland, Sabine takes the helm from Ola Ivarsson, who will retire from his role as Chief Operating Officer for Europe on 30th June. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts currently manages 18 properties in Europe, with three new hotels set to open during 2019 in Stuttgart (Germany), The Hague (Netherlands) and Basel (Switzerland). The company is actively seeking further development opportunities in the region, with a focus on the hotel and serviced apartment sector. Sabine has extensive experience working in hotel management for organisations such as Hilton and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, employed in a variety of multi-property and single-property roles in markets including Turkey, Germany and Austria.

Rebecca Bosshard has been appointed as Director of Sales North America at Bürgenstock Selection

Rebecca Bossard Gruyer has been appointed to the new position of Director of Sales, North America for the Bürgenstock Selection which encompasses the new Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne, the Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa in Lausanne and the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & THE SPA. Reporting to Bettina Haeberle, Area Director of Sales & Marketing, she will be based in the New York office of The Leading Hotels of the World.
