Paitoon Surawongpaiboon has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa

Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Paitoon Surawongpaiboon as the resort's executive chef. Chef Paitoon Surawongpaiboon, who was most recently Executive Chef at Anantara Golden Triangle Resort and Spa will helm the resort's culinary team. Prior to this engagement, the seasoned F&B professional has held several Executive Chef positions across Thailand and the Maldives. Having also worked in Vietnam, Dubai, Malaysia and Portugal, Chef Paitoon brings an array of international experience to Hua Hin. A Thai-national by birth, Chef Paitoon has amassed over 25 years of experience as a chef in top hotels worldwide. Chef Paitoon will oversee the hotel's six restaurants and bars, including the award-winning White Lotus Restaurant & Sky Bar and The Market, as well as event spaces for up to 1,500 guests. Vatmongkol Rasisawas has been appointed as General Manager at COSI Samui Chaweng Beach

Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand's largest hotel operator, announced the appointment of Vatmongkol Rasisawas to manage its innovative new COSI hotel on Thailand's Samui island. Ms. Vatmongkol will take over responsibility for the first hotel of Centara's new COSI brand, launched by Centara last December to serve a new generation of independent travellers. The hotel is located on Samui's popular Chaweng beach.

Douglas Maxwell Glen has been appointed as General Manager at Steigenberger Hotel Riverside

Douglas Maxwell Glen has taken on the role of General Manager at the Steigenberger Hotel Riverside in Bangkok with effect from 1 October. 54-year old Mr. Glen, who is originally from the UK and is able to look back on 30 years of experience in the upscale hotel sector, will take charge during the pre-opening phase. He has held various management positions with prestigious hotel groups both at home and abroad, his most recent position being General Manager of "The Landmark Bangkok".

Andrew Langdon has been appointed as Senior Vice President Development Asia at AccorHotels

Andrew Langdon, comes across to AccorHotels following one of its most recent acquisitions - Movenpick Hotels & Resorts - where he held the role of Global Chief Development Officer. With AccorHotels, Langdon will hold the title of Senior Vice President Development Asia, responsible for South East Asia, Japan & Korea. At the same time, Langdon will continue the development of the Movenpick brand in addition to his new duties.

Samit Ganguly has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort

With over 18-years' hospitality experience and a comprehensive background in sales and marketing, Mr Ganguly commenced his career with Hyatt in 2002, progressing through various sales roles before holding positions as Director of Convention Sales at Hyatt Regency Dubai and Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Kolkata. A tenure with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group followed as Director of Marketing at their flagship New Delhi property, The Radisson Blu Plaza.

Andrew Turner has been promoted to regional vice president at Rosewood Hotel Group

With his promotion to regional vice president, Mr. Andrew Turner will support existing Rosewood properties including Luang Prabang and Phnom Penh, as well as providing guidance to upcoming Rosewood openings in Bangkok and Yangon. Mr. Turner joined Rosewood in 2016 as managing director of Rosewood Phuket, overseeing the successful opening of Rosewood's first resort in Southeast Asia and the brand's first property in Thailand. An Australian native, Mr. Turner has 22 years' experience managing both city hotels and resorts across Asia, Middle East, Europe and the United States, most recently at Baccarat Hotel & Residences in New York.

Akaryn Hotel Group to Triple Number of akyra Hotels by 2022

Akaryn Hotel Group, a Thailand-based boutique hotel operator, has unveiled plans to significantly expand its akyra brand, including the first akyra hotels outside Thailand. There are currently four akyra hotels in operation in Thailand: akyra Manor Chiang Mai, akyra Beach Club Phuket, akyra Thonglor Bangkok, and the most recent addition to the collection, akyra TAS Sukhumvit Bangkok.At a press conference held in Bangkok on Thursday, Anchalika Kijkanakorn (pictured), Managing Director and Founder of Akaryn Hotel Group, unveiled plans to triple the number of akyra hotels and resorts to twelve by 2022.

Ranjeet Viswanathan has been named Commercial Director at Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa

Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa today announced the appointment of Ranjeet Viswanathan as Commercial Director. Ranjeet most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Anantara Mai Khao, Phuket. A 17-year veteran in the h ospitality industry, Ranjeet began his 6-year career with Hilton Worldwide as Senior Cluster Revenue Manager at RMCC, based out of the Shanghai office where he developed a strong revenue background. In 2016, he was Director of Business Development at the Conrad Rangali Island, Maldives where he developed expertise in resort business.
