Lindsay Madden-Nadeau has been appointed as Spa Director of Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah

Lindsay Madden-Nadeau is the newly appointed Spa Director of Talise Spa in Madinat Jumeirah. She joined Jumeirah in August 2011 from Raffles Dubai and brings with her a wealth of international experience following six years working in Bermuda with the Fairmont Southampton, inclusive of the pre-opening of the Willow Stream Spa as a therapist and trainer. In 2007 Lindsay moved to the United Arab Emirates as an Assistant Spa Manager in charge of Treatments for the pre-opening of Raffles Dubai. Lindsay was also involved in the pre-opening of Raffles Seychelles where she assisted with training, structure and set up. Her 14-year experience in hospitality reflects her passion for service and excellence. Lindsay studied at the Canadian Therapeutic College where she obtained a full license in registered massage therapy. In this role, Lindsay will ensure that Talise Spa and Wellness facilities in Madinat Jumeirah are enjoyed by in-house guests and residents of Dubai alike.

Bruno Fischer has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) at The Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira

German-born Bruno Fischer has joined the team as executive assistant manager, bringing 18 years’ experience to the post, 11 of which have been spent with IHG. Fischer joins from Crowne Plaza Hotel Bahrain where he was director of rooms. Located in the original district of downtown Dubai, just a short walk from the Dubai Metro station, and a short ride from the famous and scenic Dubai Creek, Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira gives you a combination of great location and the warmest hospitality.

Bill Sheppard has been appointed as General Manager at The Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira

Bill Sheppard, an Australian-Swiss national has stepped into the role of general manager having been with InterContinental since 2003. Sheppard has a wealth of experience in the worldwide hospitality industry having worked with other major brands including Marriott and Hilton, including in Saudi Arabia , the US, Netherlands, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and most recently, Egypt.

Anne-Marie Houston has been appointed as General Manager at Madinat Jumeirah

Replacing Stephan Schupbach in Madinat Jumeirah is Anne-Marie Houston, now General Manager of Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf in Madinat Jumeirah - The Arabian Resort. Joining Jumeirah in 2006 as Director of Food & Beverage for Madinat Jumeirah, British national Anne-Marie brings with her a wealth of experience from working with several hotel companies including The Gleneagles Hotel (Scotland), The Savoy (London), Raffles Brown's Hotel, Boca Raton Resort and Club (Florida) The Sukhothai, Bangkok and The Peninsula Group. In this new role, Anne-Marie has been overseeing the day-to-day operations of the two hotels, along with The Souk and Talise Spa.

Grant Ruddiman has been appointed as General Manager at Jumeirah Emirates Towers

Newly appointed General Manager of Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Grant Ruddiman joined Jumeirah Group in early 2010, overseeing the pre-opening activities for hotels and resorts in Kuwait and Jordan. An Australian national, he has worked in the luxury hospitality sector in South Africa, Malawi, Germany, Australia, Kuwait and Jordan over the past 27 years, gaining invaluable experience worldwide. He is currently finalising his research towards a Doctorate in Business Administration.

Iftikhar Hamdani has been appointed as at Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman

Mr. Hamdani brings over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career with Ramada Ajman as Director of Sales & Marketing in 2009 and was later promoted to Executive Assistant Manager. Within eight months he was promoted as General Manager, bringing several changes in the hotel operations and hotel performance. Ramada Ajman, the largest hotel in terms of room inventory (with 336 rooms) in the northern emirates currently enjoys 87 per cent occupancy year to date. Under Mr. Hamdani’s leadership, the hotel exceeded the expectation of the owners as well as both in-house and outside guests.

Cornelia Erhardt has been appointed as General Manager at Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah

German national, Erhardt, joins from her former role as general manager of Radisson Blu Tala Bay Resort in Aqaba, Jordan which she had performed since 2009. Erhardt first joined the hotel group in 1978 as director of housekeeping at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel. Over the last 30 years Cornelia has worked in several positions gaining her a wealth of managerial experience in the worldwide hotel industry. She first arrived in the Middle East market in early-2007 to take up the role of general manager for the pre-opening of the Radisson Blu Residence, Dubai Marina.

Talal Jabbour has been appointed as Director of Marketing and Communications at Samaya Hotels & Resorts

A Lebanese national, Mr. Jabbour brings vast experience in marketing within GCC, the Middle East and Europe. His 20-year marketing career has spanned some outstanding business entities in the region. He has worked in different countries such as Cyprus, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Oman, and UAE. He joined Samaya from Al Bustan Centre & Residence. In this new challenging assignment, Mr. Jabbour will be responsible for spearheading the company's regional marketing programme and will direct a small but effective marketing team based in Dubai to drive market penetration. He will be actively promoting the property to the regional and international markets

Salim Touma has been appointed as General Manager at Coral Boutique Hotel Apartments

Salim brings with him more than 16 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Born in Lebanon, Salim’s hospitality career began with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 1996, were he held a number of managerial positions across all key hotel functions in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, before moving to Dubai, where he was Director of Revenue Management at Dusit Thani Dubai. His most recent position as Group Vice president, Sales &Revenue Management was at HMH- Hospitality Management Holdings corporate headquarters from 2009, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge in revenue management and playing an intrinsic role in the opening, operations and management of the group’s hotels across the Middle East. In addition to his in-depth financial and operational skills, he holds a number of certificates in Management Leadership and Training, as well as boasting language fluency in Arabic, English and French.

Alexandre Maurisseau has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel (Movenpick Hotels and Resorts)

French national Maurisseau brings with him almost 16 years of hospitality experience, after successfully managing key positions in the UAE and throughout Belgium, Spain and Singapore.Maurisseau started his career as a Chef de Rang at the Le Meridien Bruxelles in Belgium, where he rapidly progressed through the F&B sector later landing himself the role as food and beverage manager at the The Westin La Quinta in Marbella, Spain. In 2002, he was offered his first assignment in the Middle East as food and beverage manager at the Sands Hotel in Abu Dhabi, before stepping-up to director of food and beverage at the One to One hotel in the capital.

Perrot Thierry has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites Abu Dhabi Yas Island

France-born Perrot has more than 30 years’ industry experience, having joined InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 1981. “I am very excited about embarking on a new journey in a new country and leading such a passionate team. With two great products such as Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites, we are really looking forward to contributing to the future development and success of Yas Island,” Perrot said. He has held managerial roles around the globe, including in Switzerland, the UK, Africa, France, Indonesia, South Korea and Egypt. Perrot’s most recent role was in Egypt as area general manager for IHG Citystars and general manager for InterContinental Cairo Citystars.

Fred Selvi has been appointed as Executive Assistant – Rooms Division Manager at Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel

Joining the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel - Dubai as Executive Assistant – Rooms Division Manager is Fred Selvi, a joint Australian/Turkish national who comes to the UAE from the Rixos Premium Resort in Bodrum, Turkey, where he was assistant general manager. After graduating from RMIT University in Melbourne, where he studied hospitality management and achieved a diploma in hospitality and tourism, Fred began his life in hotels as a bell attendant and doorman at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, quickly progressing to front desk supervisor and then overseeing restaurant and club lounge operations before becoming duty manager. Moving across the city to the new Crown Tower Resort & Casino, Fred was part of the opening team as assistant front office manager, staying at the hotel for seven years before leaving Australia for a spell at the COMO Parrot Cay Resort in the British West Indies. Later postings included front office manager at the Grand Hyatt Singpore and executive assistant manager at the Six Senses resort in Ma’in, Jordan.
