Bernhard Kolsch has been appointed as Director of People & Culture at Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel

Bernhard Kolsch joins Anantara after half a decade with Four Seasons. In 2017, he became director of people and culture at the Four Seasons Resort in Seychelles, later promoted to senior director of people and culture for the group's two properties in the country. For three years, he worked with Emaar Hospitality Group, going on to become assistant director of HR for Manzil and Vida properties. Early in his career, he was the quality and training manager with One&Only Royal Mirage.

Federico Villoni has been appointed as Executive Chef at Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel

Over the span of two decades, Federico Villoni has worked across the world. He was previously executive chef at the Gattarella Resort in Puglia, Italy, and was a culinary teacher in Italy for a year before that. In the Middle East, he has been executive chef at Sofitel, and in the wider region, he was executive sous chef at Fairmont Heliopolis & Towers in Cairo.

Akram Al Ameer has been appointed as General Manager at Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel

Al Ameer joins Minor for the first time, previously GM for Movenpick in Dubai from 2020 onwards. Prior to Movenpick, he spent six years with Sofitel Dubai Downtown, joining as director of F&B in 2014 and going on to receive a number of promotions. He served as EAM before being made director of operations in 2018. In the UAE for over a decade, he began with Jumeirah in 2012 as an F&B manager.

Hossam Nabil has been appointed as General Manager at Cheval Maison-The Palm Dubai

Nabil will lead the team at Cheval Maison's first international property outside the UK, which is located on the trunk on the Palm Jumeirah. He has more than 20 years of experience working in hospitality, having led a number of hospitality teams across the Middle East and north Africa. The properties that he has worked with are the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Groups and IHG, Millennium Hotels & Resorts, and Rotana Hotels. He has also been involved with the launch of more than 20 new four- and five-star hotel openings across the regions, working in the sales and marketing team, and as the hotel general manager.

Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Beach Resort has appointed Angela Aguilera Diaz as the new sous chef of Piaceri Da Gustare, the resort's Italian restaurant. Diaz has over a decade of culinary experience, having started her culinary journey in Mexico, where she trained at the prestigious Capri Riviera Cancun before honing her skills in the Dominican Republic, the United States and Europe, Doha, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Wynn Resorts, Limited (Nasdaq: WYNN) has announced the name of its new multi-billion-dollar integrated resort, debuting in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE): Wynn Al Marjan Island. The Company also unveiled the design vision of its first-ever beachfront resort, which is inspired by the tranquil seascape of Al Marjan Island, a group of four islands. Alina Abramovich has been appointed as Multi Property Director of Marketing at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, and Al Wathba

Alina Abramovich has returned to Marriott International as multi-property director of marketing for The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi and Al Wathba, Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi. Abramovich has spent a decade in the industry, previously with Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates as director of marketing. Prior to that, she was with Marriott for three years in Russia. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the two luxury hotels, including creating marketing campaigns and positioning both to drive further business growth.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts worldwide, Mark Willis is responsible for the luxury brand's revered portfolio of more than 100 hotels in operation and under development globally. He brings to the role more than three decades of high-level industry experience with international hospitality brands IHG and Sun International, as well as the Radisson Hotel Group where he spent many years in senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President Middle East, Africa and Turkey. A master of his craft, Mark holds an MBA in International Business from Oxford University in the United Kingdom and has completed several senior management programmes at Cornell University, New York. Prior to taking the helm at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts he was the Chief Executive Officer for India, Middle East, Africa & Turkey at Accor, overseeing a portfolio of more than 520 hotels in operation and development across 20-plus diverse brands.
