Hospitality veteran Aurelio Giraudo has added another feather to his cap - moving to Fairmont The Palm as cluster general manager. Giraudo has been in the industry for over four decades, travelling the world, and most recently serving as cluster GM of Banyan Tree Doha and La Cigale Hotel Managed by Accor. Now, he leads the Fairmont resort, along with Movenpick JLT, Riva Beach Club and Th8 Hotel Dubai. Giraudo, 62, has four decades of experience in luxury hospitality and his work has taken him to destinations from Kenya to Indonesia. He has worked for Four Seasons, Shangri-La, Dusit Hotels & Resorts, Marriott and most recently Accor. He is no stranger to the Middle East, as he was previously the general manager and director of business development at The Regency Hotel in Kuwait.
Parkins entered the emirates in 2009 as the F&B assistant manager in Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. She stayed in the capital for two years before joining Fairmont Dubai as assistant director of catering and conference services.
