This year, the hotel industry in the UK can offer better value for money for their guests. Genuine guest ratings and reviews on the free booking platform HOTEL INFO provide information on which hoteliers did their job best. For years, there's been an upward trend in terms of 'value for money' within the hotel industry in the UK. This has been confirmed by the yearly studies of guest reviews and ratings. This development is presumably resulting from mainly two factors. "For one, the use of hotel booking platforms and hotel review sections is guaranteeing a better comparison and more transparency. Also, higher competition is leading to hoteliers doing their best to cater for the wishes of their guests", Jörg Malang, Managing Director of HOTEL INFO explains.Despite better ratings of 6.92 points (6.85 in the previous year), the United Kingdom is still among the bottom countries within Europe. Only in Norway (6.59) and Denmark (6.37) did hotel guests prove to be less satisfied. The champion among European countries is the Czech Republic with 8.13 points, followed closely byPortugal (8.09). Booking customers have voted Germany (7.79) onto rank 7.
