François-Xavier Schoeffer has been appointed as General Manager at The Kensington Hotel

The Doyle Collection, an Irish family-owned luxury hotel group, is delighted to announce the appointment of François-Xavier Schoeffer as the General Manager of The Kensington hotel.François-Xavier joins the international hotel group with over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality. Originally from Savoie, France, François-Xavier launched his career in the industry at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, before making the move to Paris where he acted as Front Office Manager for The Westin. He subsequently remained in Paris, advancing his career as director of operations for the Hotel Lutetia, located in the enigmatic Saint-Germain-des-Prés area. François-Xavier ultimately made the move to Amsterdam, remaining within the same hotel group in a training capacity at the recently opened Conservatorium Hotel.In 2013, François-Xavier was hand-picked to lead the relaunch of the Hotel Café Royal, London. Over a six-year tenure, he helped to re-establish this iconic luxury hotel, firstly as Director of Operations and then as Hotel Manager, overseeing the day-to-day management of the 160-room hotel alongside five restaurant and bar outlets and an award-winning spa.Most recently, François-Xavier returned to Hotel Lutetia as General Manager in 2019, overseeing a significant renovation and steering the team through a challenging 18 months encompassing the Covid-19 pandemic.François-Xavier brings expansive experien ce working with world-renowned hotels of international regard to The Kensington, and his knowledge of the needs of the modern luxury guest will be indispensable, given the hotel's international client base.

Holly White has been appointed as General Manager at The Partridge Inn

Atlanta-based NorthPointe Hospitality Management Company, the management company for The Partridge Inn, has appointed Holly White to serve as the historic property's new general manager. Ms. White is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the hotel including sales & marketing, revenue management, profit and loss, maintenance, food and beverage, loss prevention and personnel management.White has spent the past eight years in progressive managerial positions with NorthPointe Hospitality, including area director of sales where she oversaw the sales and marketing initiatives of The Partridge Inn and seven other Southeast properties. She also previously spent two years as the general manager for the company's expansive oceanfront resort in Jekyll Island, Ga. that includes two full-service hotels, a full-service beachfront restaurant with event space, catering to large and small destination weddings, association and group events.

Spring 2022 opening for Virgin Hotel Edinburgh

The Samuel Ryder Hotel St. Albans, Tapestry Collection by Hilton Opens Next Week

Located inside a city with 2,000 years of history at every turn, The Samuel Ryder Hotel St. Albans, Tapestry Collection by Hilton will become the first Tapestry-branded hotel to open in the UK, offering 60 guestrooms designed with a simple aesthetic to capture the original administrative and utilitarian function of the building. Created and built by the Ryder family in 1911, the building acted as the headquarters of the Ryder & Son Seed business. From this building, a world-wide company was forged by the importing and exporting of seeds sourced from across the globe. The overall design of the hotel will take a playful approach to the early 20th century with dynamic artwork and contrasting colourways, all inspired by the natural botanicals of Ryders' Seeds.
