(NYSE: CHH) and an affiliate of True North Studio, LLC announced construction has begun on the new Cambria hotel in downtown Phoenix in the Roosevelt Row Arts District. Slated to open ahead of schedule in late 2019, the seven-story, 127-room hotel will be the third Cambria property to enter the growing Phoenixarea, joining the Cambria Hotel Phoenix Chandler-Fashion Center and Cambria Hotel North Scottsdale Desert Ridge.

Marriott Phoenix Mesa Completes Multi-million Dollar Transformation To Become The Newest Delta Hotels By Marriott

A multi-million dollar, full-scale renovation is complete on the Marriott Phoenix Mesa, located in Downtown Mesa, Arizona, an area currently undergoing its own resurgence as a stylish and vibrant urban cultural arts center. The property will officially rebrand and become Delta Hotels by Marriott Phoenix Mesa on October 3, 2018. The renovation inclu ded all 274 guestrooms and suites, flexible meeting space, lobby and common areas, as well as the property's two dining venues Café Azul and AZ Brew. The hotel is owned by Ensemble Real Estate Investments. A grand opening and ribbon cutting event is scheduled for October 10, 2018.

Amber Harkin has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Tucson East

HMC Hospitality (Heavlin Management Company) is pleased to announce Amber Harkin as the new General Manager of Hilton Tucson East. Amber joins the Hilton Tucson East and HMC Team from the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson Paloma Village where she was General Manger since March of 2014. While at the Embassy Suites Amber oversaw a four-million-dollar renovation and added a full-service restaurant to the property. Her hotel earned several awards throughout her tenure, including Hotel of the Year in 2017. She came to the Embassy Suites from the Williams Centre TownePlace Suites by Marriott, where she was awarded Opening Hotel of the Year by the TownePlace Suites brand as the opening GM. She moved to Tucson in 2005 after earning her BS in Hotel Management & Leadership from Johnson & Wales University in Denver, where she worked for Marriott International. She completed three internships while pursuing her degree, one with the Doubletree by Hilton, one with the Denver Metro & Convention Visitors Bureau and one with the Marriott Dalmahoy in Edinburgh, Scotland. Amber currently serves as the Chair of the Southern Arizona Lodging & Resort Association (SALARA), and is on the executive committee of Visit Tucson, where she has been an active member of the Board of Directors since 2015. With her extensive knowledge and experience, Amber is a great asset to both the Hilton Tucson East and Heavlin Management Company. Sean Olmstead has been appointed as General Manager at L’Auberge de Sedona, A Destination Hotel

Sean Olmstead is a hospitality veteran appointed general manager of L'Auberge de Sedona where he oversees day-to-day operations, including guest relations and property development. A native of Hawaii, Olmstead graduated from the California Culinary Academy and spent the first years of his career working in restaurants in Honolulu and San Francisco. In 1998, he started with InterContinental Hotels Group, working at multiple properties across the country including the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco, InterContinental San Francisco, InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile and InterContinental New York Barclay. Olmstead served in numerous management and F&B roles during his 20-year career with InterContinental Hotels Group, at one point managing more than 800 rooms and multiple departments. His more than 22 years of culinary and hospitality industry experience and constant hunger for success have led to him being honored with multiple high-profile awards and accolades for his excellence in service.
