Katie Moermond has been appointed as Director of Sales at Moxy Boulder University

Katie Moermond has 18 years of experience in the industry and started her career working with both the Marriott and Hilton brands in Cincinnati, Ohio. She relocated to Colorado, taking a position with Aimbridge Hospitality in 2019 where she served as Area Director of Sales for a newly opened property near DEN and oversaw several properties in Denver, Seattle, San Jose and Nashville. From there she joined the team at the Moxy Denver Cherry Creek in 2022 with Sage Hospitality as Director of Sales making this new role at the Moxy Boulder a natural next step.

Matthew Swisher will serve as the "Captain" of the property and was most recently the assistant GM at The Jacquard Hotel in Denver where he effectively led hotel operations focusing on leadership, recruitment, development, and mentorship with $27 million in annual revenues. He also served as Assistant Manager at the Art a Hotel, Curio Collection, where he implemented key property activations driving incremental revenue, and total hotel engagement.
