The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas has announced the appointment of Adrian Marcelo as the new executive chef at the 18.5-acre resort located on Kaua'i's north shore. Reporting to the director of food & beverage, Marcelo will be responsible for all culinary operations at The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas with a focus on implementing new concepts and ideas at the resort's two dining outlets, Nanea Restaurant and Bar and Wailele Bar.

Jim Pedone has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at four Marriott International properties owned by Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts

Hospitality industry veteran Jim Pedone has been appointed director of sales and marketing at the four Marriott International properties owned by Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts: Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa and Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. The appointment marks a return to Waikiki for Pedone, who worked at Halekulani earlier in his career.

Kory Strona has been promoted to Director of Revenue Management at Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts (HHR)

Kory Strona was promoted from regional revenue manager to director of revenue management at Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts. He began his career in hospitality 18 years ago as a front office agent at Aston Hotels & Resorts, and has been with HHR for the past 12 years. Strona joined Royal Lahaina Resort as front desk manager, then served as Japanese guest relations manager and revenue manager at the hotel. He holds a bachelor's degree in travel industry management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, Hawaii.

David Knight has been appointed as Director of Operations at Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts (HHR)

David Knight is the new director of operations for Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts. He has been with HHR for six years, starting as the luau general manager at Royal Lahaina Resort. He was promoted to assistant food and beverage director, then assistant rooms director, and served most recently as HHR regional operations manager. Prior to joining HHR, he worked in the hospitality industry in Las Vegas, Nevada, serving as director of food and beverage at Silverstone Golf Club and director of in-suite dining at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. He received his bachelor's degree in hospitality administration and management at University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jerry Sager has been appointed as VP of Revenue Management at Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts (HHR)

Jerry Sager was promoted from regional director of revenue management to vice president of revenue for Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts. He started his career at Pleasant Travel Service, a hospitality company started by HHR founders Ed and Lynn Hogan, nearly 30 years ago. Since then, he has served as director of sales and marketing for Royal Lahaina Resort, and director of revenue management for Royal Lahaina Resort, Royal Kona Resort and Kauai Shores Hotel. June Pagdilao has been appointed as VP Sales at Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts (HHR)

June Pagdilao is the new vice president of sales for Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts. He served most recently as director of sales for HHR. His career in hospitality spans more than 30 years, starting at the Maui Surf Hotel and Red Lion Motor Inn on the mainland in food and beverage. He was also on the Sheraton Maui opening team in 1995 followed by director of catering and convention services at the Maui Prince Hotel. He has been with HHR for 27 years, serving in several leadership positions at Royal Lahaina Resort, including director of catering and convention services, associate director of sales and director of sales.

Jansen Medeiros has been promoted to vice president of operations at Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts

Jansen Medeiros was promoted to vice president of operations at Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts. With nearly two decades of full and select service hotel management, Medeiros will play a key role in identifying and implementing revenue and profit growth initiatives. He will also lead the company's technology and innovation strategy, lead new acquisitions projects and capital planning initiatives. Medeiros most recently served as Managing Director, where he led regional operations for all Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts. Medeiros holds an MBA and master's degree in hotel management.

Kimari Pada has been promoted to Hotel Manager at Aqua Bamboo Waikiki

Aqua-Aston Hospitality, a leader in hospitality management known for its owned brands in Hawaii, the continental United States, and Central America, has announced the promotion of Kimari Pada to the role of hotel manager. Formerly the hotel's guest service manager, Pada has been promoted from within, and will now lead operations at the Aqua Bamboo Waikiki hotel. She reports to Jeff Caminos, vice president of operations, Aqua-Aston Hospitality.Pada's more than six-year-tenure at Aqua Bamboo Waikiki includes many positions from on-call night auditor to interim hotel manager, along with industry accolades such as the 2016 No Po'e Pa'ahana Honoree for Front Desk Person of the Year and the 2017 Club Excellence Silver Star.

Jamie Choi has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Waikiki Beach

Jamie Choi is the new director of sales and marketing at Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio. Choi functions as the leader for the sales and marketing teams of the 601-room hotel overseeing the planning and implementation of strategic programs to drive rooms and catering revenues and achieve property objectives. Choi also manages the overall branding and communications for the hotel continuing to raise awareness and strengthening brand recognition and differentiation. Choi plays a critical role in supporting the hotel and the team's reputation for providing high-level guest service experience. For two consecutive years, Hilton Waikiki Beach ranked number one in highest satisfaction and loyalty tracking scores within Hilton Worldwide Americas for hotels with more than 500 rooms.Choi is a two-time recipient of the "Circle of Excellence" by Hilton Worldwide for excellence in revenue management for Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Waikoloa Village. She comes to Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio with a familiarity of the Hilton Worldwide portfolio having served as director of sales and marketing at Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk prior, and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana, and as regional sales manager for the Hilton Hawaii cluster. She brings international experience to the team as a senior catering sales manager at Renaissance Seoul Hotel and corporate business sales manager at Ritz-Carlton Seoul Hotel in South Korea before moving to Hawaii. Choi has a Bachelor of Science in hotel management from the Kyunghee University in Seoul, Korea.

Alyson Wee has been appointed as Revenue Manager at OLS Hawaii

As the new revenue manager, Wee is responsible for developing, enhancing and leading revenue management strategies and best practices for OLS' Hawaii properties. She also focuses on rate building, connectivity and distribution. Prior to joining OLS, she served as a revenue manager for Aqua-Aston Hospitality where she focused on several Hawaii properties, ranging from budget to upscale boutique, and successfully increased and impacted important revenue metrics and key performance indicators. Prior to the hospitality industry, she worked at a family law firm and a real estate law firm. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Catherine Cambra has been appointed as Director of Public Relations & Communications at Fairmont Orchid
