Houston’s The Woodlands Resort Joins Curio Collection By Hilton

The Woodlands Resort, a landmark destination spanning an expanse of lush acreage in the heart of The Woodlands, a short drive from IAH airport and 30 miles north of downtown Houston, today becomes the first Curio Collection by Hilton branded resort in Texas. The 402-room, AAA Four Diamond property with 75,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space - as well as an array of picturesque outdoor function areas - is slated for an extensive program of enhancements projected to begin in Q2. A guest room model is anticipated for a spring unveiling. The entirety of the multi-million-dollar project is being carefully planned to minimize interruptions to the guest experience.

Aaron Rodriguez has been appointed as General Manager at Aloft Austin Southwest

Aaron Rodriguez, previously with White Lodging, joins the Pathfinder team as the opening General Manager for Aloft Austin Southwest, slated to open in April 2022 in Alexan Garza Ranch in Southwest ATX. Aaron has been in the industry since 2014 with companies such as Radisson, Hyatt Place, Stanton House Hotel, and White Lodging before taking on the Aloft project for Pathfinder Hospitality.

citizenM downtown Austin planned for 2023

A parking lot in the heart of downtown Austin is being transformed into a 17-story luxury hotel.  The project at Colorado and Seventh streets has broken ground and is expected to open in 2023 as a 344-room citizenM hotel. The project is one of a number of high-rises that are currently planned, under construction or recently completed in downtown Austin, an area undergoing a building boom that hasn't abated despite the coronavirus pandemic.
