Dale Johnson has been appointed as General Manager at Kimpton Palladian Hotel Seattle

General Manager Dale Johnson joined Kimpton Palladian Hotel Seattle earlier this year to lead the property's hotel and F&B operations. Dale brings decades of hospitality operations experience, including several years of general manager experience at another Kimpton property in the Pacific Northwest. Dale began his career with Hilton, honing his leadership skills in markets across the United States including at the Embassy Suites in Memphis, DoubleTree in Boston and Campbell, CA, and the Inn at Penn in Philadelphia. Dale joined Kimpton in 2021 as general manager at Kimpton Hotel Vintage in Portland, where he successfully relaun ched the property's food and beverage program. Dale holds a degree from Southern Illinois University and resides in Seattle. In his spare time, Dale is an avid traveler and enjoys photography.

Haje Roger Thurau has been appointed as General Manager at InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue

General Manager Haje Roger Thurau joined InterContinental Hotels in December 2022 to lead the Pre-Opening Team to launch the world's largest and oldest luxury hospitality brand's premier hotel in the Pacific Northwest. Thurau is a 30-year hospitality veteran with international assignments across a variety of upscale business and leisure, convention center, and resort properties with luxury brands around the globe, including Germany, Spain, the Island of Mykonos, the Indian Ocean Islands territory, and various European destinations. He has a passion for the culinary arts and providing impeccable guest experiences. He believes that "The product and its team stand in the foreground, not the GM, as alone you can do a lot, but with the support of a team, you can do extraordinary things." Born in Germany, Thurau now calls Bellevue, WA, home with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys multi-cultural cooking and staying active in a variety of outdoor sports.

Matt King, Director of Sales and Marketing, is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with a strong background in the Bellevue, San Francisco and Seattle markets. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality sector, he has made significant contributions to luxury establishments such as the Lotte Hotel Seattle, where he played a key role in its successful opening in 2020. During his career, Matt also led the sales teams at The Arctic Club, Residence Inn Seattle Convention Center, Hyatt House Bellevue, and Crowne Plaza in Downtown Seattle. Mohammed Khan, the new director of operations, is a Washingtonian and has worked in hospitality since 2010, starting his career while attending college. He was most recently the assistant director of operations for the Hyatt group, A Seattle Collection, having been promoted to that role from the director of rooms in 2022. Khan is tasked with ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, colleague satisfaction, cleanliness, building functionality, financial success and hospitality, according to the Hyatt tradition.

Manfred Steuerwald has been appointed as General Manager at Grand Hyatt Seattle

Steuerwald has over 40 years of experience working in the hospitality industry. In 1998, he began his Hyatt career working as a sous chef at Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman. Over the ensuing decades, he worked at the Grand Hyatt Kauai in Hawaii, as the executive chef at Manchester Grand Hyatt in California and Hyatt Regency Denver and then as the director of operations at Grand Hyatt Denver and director of food and beverage at Manchester Grand Hyatt. In 2019, Steuerwald transferred to Canada to be the general manager of Hyatt Regency Calgary, a hotel he served in as executive chef 20 years before. Prior to joining the Grand Hyatt Seattle team, he was the general manager of Resort at Squaw Creek, a Destination by Hyatt property.
