Christian Arriaga has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Elms Hotel & Spa - Destination by Hyatt

The Elms Hotel and Spa, a part of the Destination by Hyatt portfolio, is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Arriaga as Executive Chef. In his new role, Arriaga will lead the historic property's signature Three Owls restaurant, curating specialty menus and overseeing banquet events, The Tavern, Cafe Soterian, and oversee the culinary team as a whole.

Kitty Chau has been appointed as Complex Director of Sales & Marketing at Le Meridien | Element Salt Lake City Downtown

Chau comes to the dual-brand property from Aloft Denver Downtown, where she served as Director of Sales. Previously, Chau was Area Associate Director of Sales at Stonebridge Companies, where she oversaw sales for Marriott International's Aloft, Residence Inn and Courtyard Denver Airport at Gateway Park. She has worked in various sales positions at several Hilton hotels, including in Denver, Colorado; Albany, New York; Boston, Massachusetts; and Providence, Rhode Island.

Scott Cochran has been appointed as Complex General Manager at Le Meridien | Element Salt Lake City Downtown

Cochran joins Le Méridien and Element Salt Lake City Downtown with a strong background in luxury and lifestyle hotel operations, including with companies such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Destination Hotels, Two Roads Hospitality and W Hotels. Most recently, Cochran served as Director of Operations at W Aspen. He has also held the roles of Director of Operations as well as Director of Food & Beverage at Two Roads Hospitality's properties in Stowe, Vermont. Cochran began his hospitality career as Starwood Hotels & Resorts' Director of Food and Beverage in Aspen.

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City to Undergo A Top To Bottom Renovation

The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City, located in the heart of downtown, announces a bold, top-to-bottom renovation today, bringing an enhanced level of modern sophistication to Salt Lake City. The transformation, set to be completed in late summer 2023, will include a full re-haul of its public spaces, on-site meeting and event spaces, its 225 guest rooms and suites, and its admired on-site restaurant, Bambara, and cocktail bar, The Vault. The Monaco will remain open throughout the process.

Ricky de Jesus has been appointed as Director of Catering at Kimpton The Forum Hotel

Originally a Florida native, Ricky joins The Forum's opening team offering over 15 years of hospitality experience with a focus in boutique hotel management. Ricky cut his teeth in restaurant operations and event management with three years at Imperium Food & Wine in Celebration, FL, and has since served as a food & beverage director while implementing his passion for service through various business models. Ricky's attention to detail and customer service coupled with his passion for hospitality have primed him for his role as director of catering at The Forum. Ricky will be tasked with catering sales and operations for The Forum's 22,000-square-foot meetings and event spaces, offering unique ways to gather and celebrate in Charlottesville.

Darby Gyscek has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Kimpton The Forum Hotel

Darby brings 25 years of hospitality sales experience to The Forum's sales team, including the past 15 years specializing in university-affiliated properties at the University of North Carolina, Duke University and the University of Virginia. Darby has experience working for many household names in hospitality, including Disney, Hyatt, Fairmont, Starwood and Aramark. She obtained a bachelor of science degree in hotel, restaurant & tourism management from Western Kentucky University.
