Chris Collins has been appointed as General Manager at The Driskill

The Driskill is pleased to announce that Chris Collins has been named as General Manager, effective immediately. Chris Collins will oversee hotel operations and financial performance as well as strategic aspects at the historic Driskill Hotel in the heart of downtown Austin, TX. As part of his new role, Collins will oversee all property operations, including 189 guest rooms and suites, over 18,000 square feet of meetings and events space, and three exceptional culinary outlets at The Driskill Grill, 1886 Café & Bakery and The Driskill Bar.

Marriott International's TownePlace Suites by Marriott Austin South is set to open for business this Thursday, February 27. The new 103-suite hotel is built for travelers looking for a simple and friendly place where they can settle-in, keep their routine, and easily connect to the South Austin area. Located at 901 Little Texas Lane, it will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Scenic Property Group and managed by PM Hotel Group of Chevy Chase, Maryland. General Manager Adrianne Fobert and Director of Sales Emily Fabian lead the management team at the property for PM Hotel Group.

In her role as director of revenue management, Yearout will lead the team in financial planning in collaboration with the vice president, general manager and director of sales and marketing. She brings a passion for "crunching numbers" and years of experience in hospitality financial work at Hilton Revenue Management Consolidated Center. Most recently, Yearout served as the regional senior director of revenue for The Joule.

Marian Wilson brings more than a decade worth of hospitality industry knowledge to her new role as executive director of sales and marketing at Hotel Drover. She will lead the sales team to nurture genuine connections with the guests and drive sales goals. Over the course of her decorated career, Wilson has held a variety of crucial roles for popular brands including Marriott Hotels and Resorts Corporations, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Regency Hotels & Resorts. She comes to Hotel Drover from The Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Odessa, TX and is excited to nurture and coach the sales team at the hotel. Set to open this fall, Hotel Drover will serve as the anchor and crown jewel for the Fort Worth Stockyards and Mule Alley mixed use development.
