Stephanie Sobeck Butera has been promoted to Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Hyatt Vacation Ownership

Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: VAC) ("MVW" or the "Company") today announced the promotion of Stephanie Sobeck Butera to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hyatt Vacation Ownership (HVO). Ms. Butera has spent nearly 25 years in the industry developing, operating, and leading mid and upscale leisure products and customer service strategies. Over the course of her career with the Company, Ms. Butera has held leadership roles across sales operations, development, asset management, customer service, inventory management, and financial planning. As part of this appointment, Ms. Butera is now part of the Company's Executive Leadership Team and continues to report to John E. Geller, Jr., who recently assumed the position of President & Chief Executive Officer at MVW as of January 1, 2023, and Brian Miller, President of Vacation Ownership at MVW.

Michael Elortegui has been appointed as Restaurant General Manager at Talavera at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North

New Talavera General Manager Michael Elortegui joins Four Seasons most recently from Bourbon Steak at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, where he was the senior restaurant manager. Prior to that, he gained valuable restaurant management experience in Hawaii at the Fairmont Orchid, and in California at multiple hotels and resorts. Elortegui is originally from Miami, but has been on the west coast since 2015. Prior to his time in the hospitality world, he participated in professional global tennis tournaments in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe. Elortegui earned his Bachelor's Degree from Niagara University, followed by time spent in London achieving his Master's Degree in international relations from the University of East London.

Jesus Figueroa has been appointed as Chef de Cuisine at Talavera at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North

New Chef de Cuisine Jesus Figueroa's most recent role was as executive chef at ETTA, a concept created by Michelin-starred chef Danny Grant. He also opened Renata's Hearth at Arizona Biltmore as executive chef. Figueroa honed his skills prior to that at locally acclaimed restaurants including Cafe Monarch and Tarbell's. Figueroa also spent time working outside of Arizona, in Chicago at Michelin-rated Boka restaurant, Jean-Georges at the Ambassador Inn and Bohemian Groove in Sonoma, among other spots. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in hospitality management, Figueroa learned to love cooking watching his mother, and ended up in a professional kitchen by harnessing his degree in hotels with his love of the culinary arts.

Global Hotel Group Opens DoubleTree by Hilton Monroe-Cranbury Following Renovation and Rebranding

Global Hotel Group has announced that it opened its doors to the converted Ramada Plaza Monroe as the new DoubleTree by Hilton Monroe Township Cranbury on December 21, 2022. The conversion includes renovations to the building exterior, all public spaces, meeting and banquet rooms, guest rooms and the restaurant. The 150-room full-service hotel will be operated by Global Hotel Group.

Davide Barnes has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Halekulani

Halekulani, Oahu's most acclaimed luxury hotel just steps away from Waikiki beach, today announces the appointment of Davide Barnes to the position of Hotel Manager at Halekulani. Mr. Barnes, who brings with him extensive luxury leadership experience across numerous iconic hotels around the world, will join Halekulani on Jan. 16, 2023 and will be responsible for directing all aspects of day-to-day management and operations of the legendary 453-room property. The announcement was made by Peter Shaindlin, Chief Operating Officer of Halekulani Corporation.
