Hilton Expands California Portfolio with First Signia by Hilton Hotel in California

The hotel is the second in the brand portfolio following Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek's debut in 2021. Owned by Eagle Canyon Capital, the stylish 805-room premier hotel offers a sought-after location to stay and connect for cultural tastemakers and business leaders in one of California's most inventive cities. The boldly re-designed hotel features a never-before-seen lobby and intriguing bar and is undergoing a modernization of its Main Tower which is set for completion in early 2023.

Chef Haynes brings 15 years of extensive culinary experience to Leroy's located inside The Kinney SLO. He received his culinary degree from California Culinary Academy in 2006 and went on to be a line cook at Gary Danko in San Francisco, California. Chef Haynes then become Executive Chef at Holiday Inn Select in Bakersfield, California, Executive Chef at Four Points by Sheraton San Diego, Banquet Chef at Hilton San Diego Bay, Cook at Sandcastle Inn in Pismo Beach, California. He was most recently Executive Chef at Las Brisas in San Luis Obispo, California.

Sean Collins has been appointed as Executive Chef at Marina Del Rey Hotel

With over 16 years of experience pushing the boundaries in the culinary world, Chef Collins will serve guests and locals alike flavorful California cuisine at the hotel's picturesque restaurant, SALT. Collins' passion for cooking started in the kitchen working alongside his uncle at the Ocean Trail Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes as a line cook. Prior to Marina del Rey Hotel, Collins made stops at Baltaire, Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel Air, Gordon Ramsey at The London West Hollywood, Thomas Keller at Bouchon Beverly Hills, and Alain Giraud of Anisette, learning from some of the industry's most talented and esteemed chefs. Collins has a bachelor's degree from The Art Institution of California, Los Angeles where he graduated with honors.

Ryan Smith has been appointed as Hotel Manager at The Seabird Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel

A graduate of Oregon's Linfield College with a B.A. in Business Management, Smith has spent nearly 15 years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation. His hospitality career began as a Front Desk Host at Grand Hyatt Seattle, followed by promotions to Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager. Smith relocated to Park Hyatt Aviara to assume the role of Assistant Front Office manager and was quickly elevated to Front Office Manager and then Assistant Director of Rooms. Following, Smith opened Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas as Assistant Director of Rooms, before moving back to San Diego to serve as Director of Operations at Hyatt Regency La Jolla.

Matt De Guzman has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Mission Pacific Hotel, a JdV Hotel

A North County San Diego native, De Guzman started his hospitality career with Highpointe Hotel Corporation in New Orleans, serving as Manager on Duty at Hampton Inn and Suites. He then went to work for MGM Resorts International in the Rooms Division, holding key leadership roles at The Mansion at MGM Grand, The Signature at MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. On his return to Southern California, he worked as Director of Housekeeping at Los Angeles' iconic Chateau Marmont Hotel, followed by his most recent tenure as Assistant General Manager for MarBrisa, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club.
