Stephanie McClure has been appointed as Director of Sales at JQH’s Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) today announced that Stephanie McClure has joined the company as the new director of sales at JQH’s Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel located north of downtown Dallas. With 18 years of hospitality experience, including with Marriott brands and primarily based in Texas, McClure will oversee the sales and marketing team of this TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame hotel. The 335-room/suite, AAA Four Diamond hotel is owned and operated by Springfield, Missouri-based JQH under license from Marriott International, Inc. or one of its affiliates. JQH is a leading private, independent owner and manager of hotels in the United States.Most recently, McClure served as vice president of training and leadership at Texas-based Pillar Hotels & Resorts, where she guided more than 100 general managers and sales leaders through the required Marriott Access Edge training as a Marriott Certified Coach. She also held the positions of regional vice president of sales and regional director of sales during her time with the company. In addition, McClure was regional director of sales and director of sales and marketing for Prism Hotels & Resorts in Dallas, where she was responsible for a portfolio of 15 full-service hotels. She is active in the hospitality industry, including having served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Hospitality Marketing Association for Holiday Inn and on the Board of Directors for the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI)/Dallas Chapter. McClure also volunteers in her local community with an emphasis on education and sports. She currently serves on the Allen Eagles Lacrosse Club Executive Board in Texas and also has participated on the Allen Eagles Home Run Club Board of Directors and Allen Sports Association Lacrosse Board. McClure holds a bachelor of business administration from Texas A&M University − Commerce.

J. Sal Icaza has been named Director of Franchise Development at La Quinta Inns & Suites

La Quinta Inns & Suites announces the appointment of hospitality industry veteran, Mr. J. Sal Icaza, as Director of Development for the Northeast who will be responsible for the growth of the La Quinta brand in MD, PA, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT and ME. Icaza brings more than 20 years of industry experience to this role and joins La Quinta after holding senior franchise sales positions at Choice Hotels International, Hilton Hotel Corporation and consumer brands outside the hotel industry. He was also the Chief Development and Operating Officer at Cherry Cove Hospitality Management, a successful ownership and management company he helped build from the ground up.Mr. Icaza is involved in numerous civic and charitable causes and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis. Chris Stanley has been appointed as Executive Sous Chef at Sheraton Dallas Hotel

As Executive Sous Chef, Stanley is responsible for supporting Executive Chef Stuart Race and the culinary team by overseeing the day-to-day culinary operations for the hotel meeting and banquet spaces, in-room dining, and three hotel dining options: The Kitchen Table Restaurant and Lounge, a full-service restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering authentic American cuisine; Draft Media Sports Lounge, a sports nirvana featuring more than a dozen local and international draft beers, 23 flat-screen TVs and signature menu items such as pizzas and burgers; and Peet’s Coffee and Tea, a shop serving grab-and-go items such as breakfast and lunch sandwiches, sweets and specialty coffee drinks.

Shannon Kelly has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Highland Dallas - Curio Collection by Hilton

A decorated alumnus of the US Naval Academy and a University of Maryland graduate, Shannon has directed a number of highly successful teams in the industry. Most recently, Shannon was general manager of the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place in Florida where he was named “GM of the Year” by Expotel Hospitality. Previous experience includes the role of director of sales & marketing for properties such as the Hilton & Doubletree Melbourne Beach Oceanfront in Florida, the Doubletree Dallas Market Center in Texas and the Lodge of Four Seasons Golf Resort & Spa in Missouri. Additionally, Shannon founded Kelly Hospitality Consulting, a consulting group that provides clients with marketing, public relations and task force sales and operations training.

Vanessa Claspill has been appointed as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing at The Line Hotel

Vanessa Claspill will be taking on the position of Regional Director of Sales & Marketing. In this role she will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of direct sales and property marketing for the current Radisson Hotel and Suites Austin, which will remain open during the renovation process. A Texas native, Gonzalez first earned an appreciation for culinary arts working on his grandfather’s farm. This work inspired him to earn a degree in Culinary Arts from Collin County Community College in McKinney, Texas. Prior to joining The Highland Dallas, he served as Sous Chef at the celebrated Fearing’s Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton in Dallas for more than eight years. Additionally, Gonzalez assisted in opening Chef Tom Colicchio’s renowned restaurant, Craft, at the W Hotel in Dallas. Gonzalez began his culinary career working at Jasper’s in Plano, Texas, where he received extensive training and honed his culinary and leadership skills.

Daniel Lofton has been appointed as Associate Direct of Casino Services at Duetto

Daniel Lofton joins Duetto with deep experience in revenue management at hotels such as the Golden Nugget Lake Charles Hotels and the Westin Houston Downtown. He has also worked in the mid-market segment of the hotel industry and has experience in the development and implementation of significant technologies in the hotel space. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the Conrad Hilton College in Houston.

Jacques D’Rovencourt has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Americas-Houston

Hilton Americas-Houston announced today the appointment of Jacques D’Rovencourt as general manager of Houston’s largest hotel, located in the heart of downtown and directly connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center via two indoor sky bridges, effectively immediately. D’Rovencourt will take over for Joe Palmieri who has retired after 28 years with the Hilton Worldwide and eight years at Hilton Americas-Houston. He will report to Area Vice President, Andy Slater.
