Lemmy Cooper has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at The Duniway

Today The Duniway announces the appointment of Lemmy Cooper as Director of Food and Beverage. In his new role, Cooper will provide strategic leadership to the culinary teams and oversee execution of the hotel's food and beverage concepts, including Jackrabbit and the new guest-only rooftop, Abigail's Hideaway. Cooper has nearly 20 years of hospitality experience to guide The Duniway's unique culinary programs, which are centered on creativity, innovation and guest satisfaction.

Julie Parker has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at The Benson Hotel

A native of Vancouver, Wash., Julie Parker brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to The Benson Hotel, most recently as sales and marketing director at Boxed Bistro & Catering in Portland. In the same position at the Benson she will oversee the team in daily department operations, as well as drive revenue through new business development and grow existing accounts. Parker's past experience includes positions at Jubitz Travel Center, Destination  Hotels & Resorts and Semiahmoo Resort among others. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Trailblazer games with her family and taking road trips to Oregon wine country.

Ken Daugherty has been appointed as General Manager at Salishan Spa & Golf Resort

Helmut Horn, executive chairman of Portfolio Hotels & Resorts, announced that Ken Daugherty was selected as the new general manager of Salishan Resort. One of Daugherty's first positions in the hospitality industry was working in food and beverage and culinary management for the property beginning in the 1980s. He rejoins the Salishan team after the award-winning property recently came under new ownership and management.

Renovation Halfway Completed for Hotel Sheraton Portland Airport

Officials of the 212-room Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel in Portland, Ore., announced today that the hotel has completed the first phase of a two-part, $7 million renovation. Phase One included a complete, top-to-bottom renovation of all guest rooms and suites, while Phase Two will completely transform the hotel"s lobby, signature restaurant, extensive function space and popular amenities. The entire refurbishment process is expected to be complete by September 2017.

Robert Jagger has been named General Manager at Hyatt Place Eugene

McDermott has over fifteen years of experience working in the hospitality industry and over ten years of experience working in group sales. Most recently, she was the sales manager for Crowne Plaza where she was responsible for managing the social, military, educational, religious, fraternal, government, and medical markets. Prior to this, McDermott was the director of marketing and sales for Vesta Hospitality where she was in charge of all marketing, sales, and meeting planning and was successful in developing and implementing marketing and branding initiatives for Country Inn & Suites and West Coast Carlson Hotel Worldwide

Kasia Russell has been appointed as Managing Director at HVS Consulting and Valuation Office

HVS announced that Kasia Russell received her MAI Designation from the Appraisal Institute and was promoted to Managing Director of the recently opened Portland Consulting & Valuation Office. Dave Murray is a Portland native with a long history as general manager at boutique-style and branded hotels. Murray's experience includes the River's Edge Hotel and Spa, RiverPlace Hotel and The Portland Marriott City Center, all in the downtown Portland market.

Amber Evans has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center

Amber Evans joins as director of sales and marketing and will drive sales efforts and strategy to increase room night sales as well as meetings and events at the Courtyard. She comes from Hotel Modera in Portland and Larkspur Hotels and Restaurants in San Francisco, where responsibilities included managing the hotel sales team, controlling the annual budget and keeping an eye on marketing trends.

CSM Lodging, a division of CSM Corporation, has named Shelly Sutton director of sales and marketing for the Residence Inn Lake Oswego, Oregon. Robert Payne, CSM Lodging's regional director of sales and marketing, made the announcement.Shelly Sutton was previously director of sales for Homewood Suites by Hilton, located in Yuma, Arizona.
