Robert Festinger has been appointed as VP Of Hotel Operations at Mondrian South Beach

Festinger will oversee all day-to-day operations for Menin Hospitality's portfolio of hotels, including the Mondrian South Beach, Shelborne South Beach, Gale South Beach, Gale Boutique Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale, and Raffaello Chicago. Festinger will ensure that all hotel operations are carried out professionally, to Menin Hospitality brand standards, and to the highest level of guest service. Festinger will also act as a dynamic, experienced and motivated mentor to other property general managers and their management teams.

The Reinvention of an Icon: West Palm Beach Hotel Nears Completion

West Palm Beach's highly anticipated hotel, The Ben West Palm, is slated for a Winter opening and is now accepting wedding and group business for 2020. Part of Autograph Collection, Marriott International's newest collection of independent, characterful hotels, The Ben is the focal point of Flagler Banyan Square, a 3.5-acre mixed-use waterfront development in downtown West Palm Beach. Owned and operated by Concord Hosp itality, The Ben is located at 251 Narcissus Avenue, only steps away from buzzing Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, and a short drive from PBI airport. Spend the Night in a Guitar: Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood opens October 24th

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is now accepting room reservations for its two new hotel towers. Currently undergoing a $1.5 billion expansion, the integrated resort will open on 24 October 2019. Upon opening, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood will be home to a total of 1,271 luxury guestrooms and suites including 638 rooms in the first-ever Guitar Hotel and 168 rooms in the seven-story Oasis Tower at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood that will overlook the resort's new pool lagoon. Available for reservations now, the existing Hard Rock Tower features 465 newly renovated guestrooms.

Christina Mackey has been named Director of Human Resources at Grand Plaza Hotel and The Beachcomber, St. Pete Beach, Florida

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has appointed Christina Mackey director of human resources for the Grand Plaza Hotel and The Beachcomber, both Benchmark Resorts & Hotels properties located in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Jan McCormick, managing director for both properties, made the announcement. Christina Mackey previously held the position of executive human resources director for Remington Hotels of Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida. Earlier she served as director of human resources for the Wyndham Hotel Group in the greater Pittsburgh area. Ms. Mackey resides in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Jim Koutsky has been named Director of Finance at Grand Plaza Hotel and The Beachcomer

Jim Koutsky was most recently director of finance for Benchmark's Stonewall Resort of Roanoke, West Virginia. Previous to this he served as chief financial officer for Visionary Destin, a resort and property management company located in Destin, Florida.Mr. Koutsky has also held the position of corporate controller for Callaway Gardens Resort of Pine Mountain, Georgia, and served in leadership positions in finance at Amelia Island Plantation, and with Hyatt Hotels.He is a graduate of Southern College, located in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Koutsky resides in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Joseph Fisher has been appointed as Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami

A passionate leader with nearly two decades of knowledge and expertise in hospitality, Joseph will oversee all facets of the resort, including hotel operations, property amenities and guest services. Joseph joins The Ritz-Carlton from the Embassy Suites by Hilton, South Jordan & Palm Beach Gardens in Utah, where he served as the opening general manager. In his role, Joseph developed construction and pre-opening hiring schedules, as well as all sales and marketing plans. His leadership led to notable results, including the hotel being in the top 10% for service in the brand, and achieving fair market share within three months of opening.Prior to his role with Embassy Suites by Hilton, he served as the director of food and beverage at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort, managing all daily F&B operations and helping the resort produce $8 million in food and beverage revenue. Joseph first began his career in hospitality as assistant food and beverage manager at The Four Seasons in Atlanta and Miami. From there, he has held roles at Hyatt Pier 66 (director of food and beverage); Conrad Miami (hotel manager); Waldorf Astoria Park City (director of food and beverage); and Marco Beach Ocean Resort (general manager.)

Craig Tooker has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at The Gabriel Miami, Curio Collection by Hilton

Craig has a notable career track with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Through his leadership, Craig has established great credibility in the restaurant business, focusing on quality and service, while guiding and developing concepts with remarkable outcomes in profit. After receiving his Bachelor of Science from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI in 1995, his career path began at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City as Chef de Saucier. Craig was responsible for overseeing the à la carte kitchen there for two and a half years, before joining the culinary staff at The Roosevelt Hotel NYC first as Sous-Chef then as Executive Banquet Chef. After several reputable years working in New York's fine dining scene, Craig transitioned his talents to Florida, where he became Executive Banquet Chef at the Don CeSar Beach Resort and Spa, and later Executive Chef of the Wyndham Miami Beach Resort, before heading back to The Roosevelt Hotel as Executive Chef in 2005.Prior to joining The Gabriel Miami, Craig was the Executive Chef/Director of Food and Beverage at the Miami Beach Resort and Spa. Throughout his six plus years at the resort, Craig was responsi ble for overseeing all food and beverage departments, implementing new concepts for 5 full-service food and beverage outlets.As the most recent addition to the team at The Gabriel Miami, Craig will be responsible for supervising and administering all details pertaining to the hotel's food and beverage planning and service, including menu maintenance, presentation, and coordinating special promotions and events. Additionally, he will ensure that all F&B aspects of the hotel, including quality and service remain up to standard with the hotel's brand.

Kimberley Lay has been appointed as General Manager at Boulud Sud Miami

Iconic Guitar Hotel & Casino expansion project is set to open Oct. 24 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood

The iconic guitar tower resembles back-to-back guitars, with six illuminated guitar strings on each side. It includes 638 luxury oversized guestrooms and suites. Complementing the guitar tower is a new seven-story guestroom tower along the south side of the new pool complex. It features 168 guestrooms and exclusive swim-up suites that invite guests to step directly out of their rooms and into the surrounding pool. Added to the 465 guestrooms and suites in the resort's existing hotel tower, the expanded hotel and casino complex will offer a total of 1,271 guestrooms and suites.
