Justine Ratcliffe has been appointed as General Manager at Residence Inn-Lake Oswego

CSM Lodging, a division of CSM Corporation, has named Justine Ratcliffe assistant general manager for Residence Inn-Lake Oswego, Oregon. Dominic Chevalier, general manager, made the announcement. Justine Ratcliffe previously held the dual positions of director of guest services and director of suitekeeping for Homewood Suites by Hilton, located in Wichita, Kansas. Prior to this, Ms. Ratcliffe served in positions of increasing responsibility for Holiday Inn Express and Radisson. She is a graduate of Butler Community College. Ms. Ratcliffe has relocated to Oswego.

Robert Riley has been named president and CEO at SKB Hotel Group

Portland-based ScanlanKemperBard Companies (SKB) and hotel industry veteran Robert Riley have announced that they have joined together to form SKB Hotel Group. The new group will specialize in providing hospitality financial advisory services and hotel and resort investment and development. SKB Hotel Group will provide capital for and develop hotel and resort projects under the seasoned direction of Riley.

John Erickson has been appointed as General Manager at The Resort at The Mountain

Erickson brings a wealth of hospitality experience in multiple management capacities at golf resorts, hotels and tourism organizations. He comes to The Resort from KemperSports in Northbrook, Ill., where he worked in a variety of positions including general manager, director of corporate special projects and director of regional operations. While at KemperSports, Erickson was responsible for overseeing the operations of 14 independent properties; managing the historic Dorado Beach Resort & Clubs in Puerto Rico including the development of the Ritz Carlton Reserve six-star resort hotel; and supervising client relations, personnel, budget development, marketing approval and revenue generation.

Nik Pereira has been appointed as Director of Sales at Westin Portland Harborview Hotel

Officials of New Castle Hotels and Resorts, a leading hotel owner, operator and developer, today announced the appointment of Nik Pereira to director of sales (DOS) for the Westin Portland Harborview Hotel, scheduled to open in downtown Portland in Spring 2014. The historic hotel (formerly the Eastland Park Hotel), owned by a joint venture between RockBridge and New Castle Hotels and Resorts, is undergoing an extensive renovation to retain its unique historic qualities while simultaneously transforming to the upper upscale Westin brand. Prior to joining New Castle, Pereira was the account director at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers. Earlier in his career, he served as senior area sales manager at the Westin & Hilton Providence where he also acted as the hotel’s liaison to the Providence Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. He holds an MBA from Johnson and Wales University and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Welcomgroup Graduate School for Hotel Administration in Manipal, India.

Tim Block has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel deLuxe

Provenance Hotels is pleased to announce the promotion of Tim Block to general manager of the Hotel deLuxe in downtown Portland. Block joined Provenance Hotels’ parent company, Aspen Lodging Group, in March of 2011 as general manager of the Inn at Red Hills, a boutique inn located in the heart of the Oregon Wine Country. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Tim taking on an even more central role within our Provenance portfolio,” said Bashar Wali, President of Aspen Lodging Group and Provenance Hotels. “The deLuxe is a premiere property, not only for us, but for the whole city of Portland. Prior to joining the team at Aspen Lodging Group, he served as general manager of the Freestone Inn, a 120-acre luxury resort, in Mazama, Wash. Block also served as general manager and opened the Hotel Vintage Park, a Kimpton Hotel, in Seattle, Wash.

Leslie Caldwell has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Benson Hotel

Caldwell’s previous successes include Director of Group Sales for Mount Bachelor Village Resort in Bend, Oregon; Owner of Hospitality Business Solutions, a business development consultancy based in Oregon; Director of Sales and Marketing for Ocean View Resort in Seaside, Oregon; as well as sales and marketing leadership roles for both Doubletree and Hyatt hotel and resort properties in destinations across the U.S.

Stacy O'Reilly has been appointed as General Manager at Hampton Inn Portland/Downtown-Waterfront hotel

A resident of Gray, Maine, Ms. O’Reilly joins the new Hampton Inn in Portland, Maine from the Embassy Suites hotel Portland, where she held the position of general manager for the past 2 years. Stacy spent 11 years with the Portland Embassy Suites, working in a number of positions such as front office manager and director of sales. She began her hospitality career at the Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where she worked as a guest services representative and night auditor.

Tasha Horton has been appointed as Director of Sales at Hampton Inn Portland/Downtown-Waterfront hotel

Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC, a hotel development and 3rd party management company, is proud to announce that they have hired Tasha Horton as director of sales for the Hampton Inn Portland/Downtown-Waterfront hotel, under development at 209 Fore Street in Portland’s Old Port area. The Portland, Maine hotel is owned Mark Woglom and Greg Kirsch, holding title through 209 Fore Street LLC, and is scheduled to open this summer. The hotel was designed, permitted and is being constructed by the Opechee Construction Corporation of Belmont, New Hampshire.

Prior to joining Provenance Hotels in 2006, Wali served as Vice President of Grand Heritage Hotels International where he led the company’s growth efforts in North America from the British Virgin Islands and Mexico to Oregon and Rhode Island.
